But for me personally I think it will release during Q1 of 2024. Considering everything which is going on with the game, how it seems as if it’s almost coming to a close, and just needs some more SFX and details.

I don't think this game is really meant for the audience it showed way back when anymore, and it shouldn't there's so much more people online now and it grows every year, especially compared to the 2010s
I predict 2026 or 2027 tbh. It seems like they really want to take their time with this game and have it launch as this massive amazing game, and I could very much see that translating to a few more years of development to go. Which is fine, I want them to take their time and make something truly incredible, but we will have to be patient either way.
I think there is a good argument to feel mildly disappointed but no real reason for people to act pessimistic.
if the game was doomed it still wouldn't be talked about. I think their mistake is announcing too early, now everyone sees the speedbumps they hit as to compared to if no one knew at all.

They didn't announce too early. The game at the time was near finished when they launched the trailer.
The bigger issue was that due to the huge success of the trailer, they decided to remake the entire game to make it better, which imo was their biggest mistake. They should have just launched it as is, and then updated it over time like how minecraft did.

my issue is with hypixel is the lack of transparency. i dont need much just like every month tell if its still coming along! team cherry could do this as well.

@@Sir_Newkirk I’m assuming hytale will have a launcher, and I agree it’s annoying to have 5 launchers to launch 5 different games like it’s becoming nowadays. Butttt, hopefully it’ll be well needed as hopefully hytale will be packed with custom features etc. that will be supported through the launcher

I'm certain this is a case of scope creep and bureaucratization.
They expended years worth of energy on scaling up their company after Riot, and relatively little on development. The scaling up also caused development chaos that needs resolution before serious unified development can happen.
And they have the new plan of multi-platform release instead of the original (and better) let's get the PC done and running well, then release on new platforms.
These two factors slowed progress to a crawl for several years. Perhaps they may lead to a superior final product.
We'll see in 2030, I suppose.

@@dittuz Most people I know from school who were gaming are still gaming and I'm almost 30 now. Some even started at a later time so I don't think that will be the case.
I just think they ought to release a good and stable game first before they try and release on every platform , with an inbuilt mod development engine while just making the scale bigger and bigger. At least a Beta to show what they have accomplished so far

It already is the case. You see ppl commenting it all the time about how they use to be teens and now are adults. I myself am an example.
When the trailer came out, I was near the end of high school... I now have a bachelors degree and working a part-time while studying for a masters.
Most of Hytale's original trailer audience were teens and late teens like myself who are now entering adulthood and the game is not even out yet. Whenever it does, Hytale would have lost most of it's OG audience.
People are so impatient with game development. It's only been a few years since it was announced, that's not a long time for games like this. There's thousands of games you can play while you wait. Of course they'd delay the game after announcing it. They never expected so many people to be interested, so naturally, they broadened the concept and wanted to make the game more polished for release. Now that riot is involved, it has to be worked on even more, to match up to the quality of riots other games.
It does *feel* like a long time though.

Normally I'm an incredibly impatient guy, and I'm surprised I'm still waiting excitedly for Hytale, I would have expected to not care at this point, but I still do, and I hope they do a beta or alpha test soon

All of you in this comments section whining about "Wahhh, they gonna release it 2030 release it now" need to understand that they're delaying it because they want to have a solid game on release. Is it going to have bugs and glitches? Sure. Will it be the greatest game ever released? No. But understand they don't want to push it out when it isn't ready, and they don't want to generate a bunch of false hype for a product that they don't feel is ready for release. They understand that you only have one shot at a first impression, and they want the game to have a TON of content on release. Putting it on multiple consoles delayed it, but at least many more of us will be able to play it versus those with just a PC. Doing an entire engine overhaul delayed it, but at least they can provide us with better graphics, higher quality gameplay, and more polished code. Hiring a large team delayed it, but at least now they have a solid amount of people working on it versus a very small team. I can see the Alpha/Beta launching in 2024/2025, and I can't wait to get my hands on it. They've clearly worked hard because they're not just execs in suits - they're gamers like us, so of course they're going to have a bit of perfectionism, because they don't want to release it broken early on for the sake of pleasing the fans. They'd rather release a quality product that the fans and dev team will be happy with. And if it isn't immediately good on release? I'll forgive them because at least they didn't rush it. Love the music, love the videos, love the growing community, and Kweebec Corner is still my favorite channel for Hytale news. Can't wait to experience it with all of you in the near future!

They didn't know the trailer would be so well received. Initially, they planned on the game being a lot more simpler than it is now.
To be fair, at that point, I don't expect it to be released in the next 10 years.
I'd prefer a well planned out game rather than a rushed one because the community deemed it to be released. Just look at cyberpunk I mean the game bounced back but that initial release, damn.
I'm putting all my faith in 2024 beta I don't care how irrational it may be.
As long as the game isn't gonna be another Cyberpunk, I'm good with it.

i only recently found out about this game and am actually really excited for it, it looks like everything i want minecraft to be, i find this long development time actually kinda Relieving cause it (hopefully) means the game will be delivered with little to bugs or glitches and with most of the kinks worked out or having patches for them on the very near horizon

Honestly, I think fans should be happier with the delay in releasing than with the immediate release, I think the longer the delay, the more time they will have to review bugs and remove them and To improve things, Cyberpunk 2077 is a clear example of why you SHOULD NOT release a game early just because of impatient fans.

I know people want to wait for it to be the best it can be but I hope they just release it this year or even maybe next year. I don’t think I would have the time to enjoy it later on (or atleast not as much as now) because I would have to be worrying about work, college, and music. Wish I could wait for this forever but I doubt by the time it comes out I won’t be able to just binge play it with online friends.
I remember being so hyped for this game 6 years ago, I forgot about it. Prob not gonna play it, it looks like a Minecraft that I have been waiting for 6 years for it to come oit
Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if this game managed to overtakes Minecraft when it releases. Minecraft seems to have such little content for its age and each update barely brings anything. Where this seems to have an immense amount of content and the blocks and atmosphere of the game look 10 times better then Minecraft. It all depends on how it runs though.
i just hope itll be with singleplayer offline mode so even if game flops I don't have to worry about servers shutting down

i mean the second they got bought out thry scraped the entire java game and started remaking it in C++ for better portabiluty and performance. They also probably wirk realy hard at the game stability and performance, they mentioned that the game will have built in moding support, that means large chunks if game code have to be modular and replacable by design - the entire game has to acomodate 3rd party code right out of the box while not breaking and allowing players to actually tweak the game functionality beyond a simple texturepack..

I think it will come out in its 10th year anniversary. Since they would technically work on it for 10 years, its a nice round number for it to be released
10 years is an abysmal time development for a game.
My great grand kids will enjoy this game one day.
I understand that hypixel is not AAA gaming company, but at this point I'm losing hope that I'll ever get to play it in my lifetime or that it'll ever release at all. And I honestly believe that if it does by the time it does, most of the fans who were waiting on it will have given up on it to the point where they don't even bother getting the game. And if I'm being 100% Fair, I really wish they would have just told us about a couple of features that they want to do and made a basic game in general surrounding that. Then, expanded on it like Minecraft has expanded since it's release. And they don't have to do it eternally. Just until they satisfy what they wanted to accomplish with the game. Because at that point we'd at least have had something to play or mess around with while they work on making it better.
