I'm in manufacturing and there is no reason not to use it. the difference in cost and machining time is almost zero, compared to 6061, and those are the only 2 kinds of aluminum that anyone uses. Most of the "high end name brand" mounts are bubble gum soft 6061, even the $600 mounts.
Says who? He never said whether or not there are steel inserts or heli-coils. Even without those at 30 to 40 in-lbs, 7075 is more than fine. The only thing that could cause a failure is if the walls for the female threads are razor thin. To determine that you would have to know the thread size, thread engagement, and the dimensions of the lugs. It's painfully obvious that you don't know anything about metallurgy or manufacturing.

If the screws are direct to the aluminum base are not reliable enough
