Discflect introduction - Basic scoring

Discflect is a two-player flying disc team sport. Players on the same team stand at opposite ends of a 50 ft court, alternating throwing and deflecting a flying disc at or into a goal to score points. The ability to deflect is what sets discflect apart from other sports. Discflect features four ways to score, including the popular Instant Win shot which allows a team to comeback at any point in the game to win.
The Professional Discflect Association (PDFA) is the governing body for the sport which will maintain rules, standards of play, tools for tournament directors, scoring procedures, and so much more. While the sport existed previously for over 20 years, the PDFA is still in the early stages in rebuilding it from the ground up to ensure success on a national level.

If you make the frisbee into the top of the can unassisted does that also count for a instant win or is the slot the only way to instantly win?

You are correct - the slot is not the only way to throw an Instant Win. If the disc is thrown into the top of the goal unassisted, that is also an Instant Win!
