Same thing happened when a severely matted dog with dreads dragging on the floor approached me behind a dumpster when I was trying to get high. I took him cleaned him up only to find a beautiful mini snauzer underneath all those mats. He instantly became my bestfriend and helped me through the most difficult nights of my life. One day i left him with my boyfriend and he got out of his leash looking for me and i lost him for a month... I pleaded and prayed to god i would get clean if I ever got him back.... A month later i found him and cried like a baby.... But I kept on my ways.. Untill a comple months later my mom said shes taking me to the nethadone clinic on Tuesday... Well monday night I rode my bike to a hotel and when i came back the dog had ran away looking for me... Again... And i knew that moment that it was to ensure I would get clean... I started going to the clinic and would pray for my dog... A month later... My friend called me.. He was at that same hotel where i had gone the day he ran away.. Its almost as if he followed my scent there or something.... I knew then that I had to stay clean and here i am 3 years later now with my daughter and my dog and boyfriend all at my side.

Cat's are little angel's send by god and when they choose you it's a blessing. Found mine outside a barbershop went to pet it and she jumped on my neck which melted my heart , she's now almost 5 and queen of the house.
Its amaing what people can acomplish when their fighting for more than themselves. Drug addicts especially have low self esteem and think of themselves as worthless, so what's the point of fighting for themselves? But if they have something like a cat or dog that they need to provide for, its still hard, but they have more motivation to fight. I have extreme bouts of depression where I start to get up to do things like eat, and my mind tells me "why bother?". But my cat needs food everyday (I feed her twice a day now) and I never miss that. And if I'm already up getting her food, I might as well wander into the kitchen every other day for food or water. Eventually, I can remind myself that "if something happens to me, then who'll take care of my girl?". Its probably not the healthiest way to be, but I'm still alive.
Iv never in my life related to someone or somthing more then I did to what you said in this comment If it wasnt for my animals I dont even know if I would be typing this right now If somthing happend to me they could die its basically the only thing that gets me out of bed at all now
As an ex server it is absolutly mindboggling how people can be so unkind to homeless people/drug addicts, EVERY place i worked at would have served him ofcourse. This was a very great recap but I would just like to share my recommendations, One main thing I noticed here is the heavy amount of text in the video ; Displaying text for words like "anxious" or "lazy" etc. seems useless to me and the second thing is the length of the video, some parts of the movie was kind of unnecessary so you could've skipped that in the vid, overall this was an excellent video and I liked it a lot! Keep uploading more Cheers

I've slept on the streets for a year not from drug addiction but circumstances beyond my control, made unemployed and couldn't pay the Rent one thing I will never forget is a bunch of thugs setting my ex army veterans legs on fire and the look of contempt from the public as if you were invisible I nearly hanged myself because I was all alone but I couldn't do do that to my family as painful and cold as the winter nights were that was thirty years ago and I still sleep on the floor and alone but I'm okay I still have my Christian Faith
Everyone does deserve a second chance just because they screwed up once that doesn’t mean that they don’t deserve a second chance but if they break the second chance I think that it’s your choice to keep helping them or not
I definitely agree that people deserve second chances , commenting this and coming from a homeless person as myself . This film, is a very touching and very beautiful as well. This film is a great message to the world , for explaining the daily life of a homeless person. And people should have mercy and help any individuals , especially when they are a family member and they're families are nearby that can help them change their life around , until they get back on their feet. That's what the family supposed to do no matter what and no matter what age the homeless sibling individual is. To sum it up , we all need help at some point in our lives. No one in this world is perfect. There's no such thing of a perfect human being.
I own a cat named bobby. I mean I am not poor but when I help my mom with her bakery I bring my cat and many strangers love petting my cat. He very old like 13 years old
The public in general needs to be more flexible understanding that a person only needs to use a drug few times to become addicted . Some are too fast to judge and very slow to give a helping hand. Humans don't know that by helping the needy they are making the World a better place if they can help one person at a time.
I have watched many films, but this one, this one gives me chills, every seconds I prayed that the cat was fine, as well with James, his push through withdrawals and growing as a person, let Bob Rest In Peace forever and never leave our hearts and minds. And for James, I wish him the best, and his journeys!
My first year on the streets at age 17 i found a lil abandoned kitten, fit in the palm of my hand. @@nozyy5684 yep! It was here you can sleep in your non working car in the yard in November in Ohio but we won't let you in to take a shower but we'll give you $60 so you can take your homeless ass up to the hotel to sss . Having mental health problems this attitude dose what?
I've had more sympathy from total strangers .
Thank God for Bob! Cats bring out the best in us. Plus they've been proven to be very therapeutic! Just listen to the purr! Lol
Cats don't bring out the best in "us". Maybe like 7 people on the planet. There are far more influential things that motivate people.
@@SegularRpork I mean look how Japan turned out with their cat island, cafes, and hotels... Seems like a good ending to me.
Plus purrs really are proven to be therapeutic and it speeds up healing depending on the frequency.
@@weneedmoreconsideratepeopl4006 and then take a look at Australia, where it's better if you murder cats because they're ruining the ecosystem.
@@SegularRpork of course it doesn't when you go to a pet shop and buy an expensive cat just for some reason other than you saw that cat and liked it.
RIP bob the cat. Screw the person who hit him
Oh heartbreaking!!!
you mean Bob was hit by a human?
@@amazingchannel7926 yes a speeding car
WTF NOOOOOO
I hope James will get another good cat 🐈. Amen for Bob.
Who says cat's were assholes.
They're just sassy and as loving like a dog can be.
They have tough love for their human servants.
I read the book, A Gift from Bob, and I remember a recurring theme of busking and selling the editions of The Big Issue while constantly battling the daily problems of having enough credits to use the heat in his apartment. I also remember that his cat named Bob made a guest appearance in the tv show Star Trek: Deep Space Nine 🤷🏻 that’s about it
🖖 thanks for the info.
The whole thing has me sob honestly but as someone who's been homeless and is friends with people who've been in dark places the guy throwing the food away made me cry at the beginning.
Bob was an angel. I love cats and believe they are the most beautiful creatures on earth. So sad to know he died. Thank you Bob, I'm crying but I'm happy to know you walked this earth
The movie is based on a true story, and, sadly, Bob passed away by getting hit by a car. Rest In Peace, Bob.
I genuinely love this story and I'm happy u ha e your dog and life back 😊
Fun fact this movie is based on a true story
yeah it says that at the end
its really amazing
Quite
Yes, based on a book too! :)
There also a sequel titled "A Gift From Bob". Bob also starred in it until he passed away after being hit by a car according to what James said. There are quite a few video clips about Bob and James here on You Tube.
When I went home to Germany, my sister told me the story. She went to buy the book for me. We both loved this true story. God bless.
Stigma and Prejudices. I believe for real we can end them if we just get enough People to watch the 'War on Drugs'-Coverage of 'Some More News'.
This movie is based in real history and I saw this guy and his cat doing performances around London in 2010.
I feel happy for both of them.

This is where I live near by about 40 minutes away I've walked past where this guy has been
Yes everyone deserves a second chance, and people stop hanging onto the guilt trips from the past, towards the people that change their lives. Forgiveness and Love will even make your own life better.
Wow animals are so lovely, cute, sweet and such an adorable their blessings from God 😍. Do you have a pet?
Such a sad but beautifull story, im a big animal lover, and this had me crying, may u be in peace & love Bob & enjoy ur endeavors in the after life, surely ur precious soul has been blessed a trillion times by the Almighty, after all, you do belong to him, i love you & ur special story all the way from South-Africa 😇😇😇😇😇🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 indeed ur one precious special cat ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

R.I.P to Bob, the Street Cat. 😔
I adore cats, I have 5 cats all from the street. My oldest cat 23 years died from kidney failure 2 weeks ago.
So sad that he had to go...
Will see all my cats again 1 day...😔😶😒🥺
stay strong!
he/she is in a wayy better place now
@@archangelgabriella8648 Thank You so very much..
I believe that when we die if that there is anything beyond this our former pets will be witnesses in our defense or prosecution and thus hangs our Fate.
Maybe outside, but no one human would trash the food instead of giving it to him i feel like. Scary to know what kind of people we share this world with.
Love how you said "Very unique and interesting name....BOB"
Unfortunately, the real Bob passed in 2020...Luckily I think that James managed to stay clean throughout his loss and never relapsed. Bob saw that his work was done and James would be ok...Rest easy Bob
All the guy really needed was a friend and love. That's what Bob was. Also want to shout out the actor who played Baz he's done some pretty cool shows.
That cat is a legend.
anybody getting a pokemon vibe seeing the cat on his back and also this is truly awesome and sad
we all deserve a second chance addiction is a devil but for alot of peeps we can walk back from the edge and salvage a life instead of kicking people at there lowest lets give a hand up
I’m crying rn but happily he got off drugs and changed his life bc of a cat 🐱
How wonderful. Thank you for this recap. Much appreciated.
11:06 one quick research later and found out a Level 4 vegans are incredibly committed to veganism, and follow a strict dietary regime. beautiful story a cat Bob is a blessing to James ...he is the instrument to james for quiting in drugs ...the cat saves james life ...This story is encouragement to all that never lose hope .....
“She gives the cat an EXTREMELY unique and INTERESTING name…BoB” that look me out 😭😭☠️
This was a very great recap but I would just like to share my recommendations,
One main thing I noticed here is the heavy amount of text in the video ; Displaying text for words like "anxious" or "lazy" etc. seems useless to me and the second thing is the length of the video, some parts of the movie was kind of unnecessary so you could've skipped that in the vid,
overall this was an excellent video and I liked it a lot!
Keep uploading more
Cheers
As I was listening to the story it remind of the book a street cat named bob, and then you said it at the end and I started crying.
Thank you for sharing 😊
I couldn’t find the full movie link from this clip.. 🙏
Love the story! More people should see this story.
My cat provided the much needed emotional support to my dad during his chemotherapy... He would curl next to him and sleep and soon my dad just can't do without him ... I absolutely love this story and I'm sure Bob is amazing
Wow animals are so lovely, cute, sweet and such an adorable their blessings from God 😍. Do you have a pet?
BROO I'm crying rn because I searched Bob but I found out bob died at June 15 2020 it really made me cry so hard, rip bob may we remember him from our hearts
Bob is a legend rest in peace I remember seeing an old UA-cam video of James an Bob
Pet is a whole different universe 🙌🏼❤️
I actually saw it a couple years ago. What a small world we live in!
This movie is seriously pretty good. Really gives that false feeling of actually getting out of all the mess.
I was so happy to hear that it is a true story and it actually has a happy ending
Yup. Sadly, Bob cat has gone as of last year. But fans in London commemorated him as a sculpture on a beautiful park bench.
All will be well brother. I will be praying for you.
The story is heartwarming.....
"The cat doesn't own a wallet". The top joke of the video.
Everyone does deserve a second chance just because they screwed up once that doesn’t mean that they don’t deserve a second chance but if they break the second chance I think that it’s your choice to keep helping them or not
Great story. So sad to hear Bob died.
17:02 "yeah the real bob, still rides everyday on james' shoulder"
Me: awwww
looks at wiki.
"Bob died in June 2020"
Me: 😱😱😱
Awesome
Loved it, hope you all the success and love
The cat is so cute.
Stigma and Prejudices. I believe for real we can end them if we just get enough People to watch the 'War on Drugs'-Coverage of 'Some More News'.
Rest in peace bob, you've literally save a man life.
I own a cat named bobby. I mean I am not poor but when I help my mom with her bakery I bring my cat and many strangers love petting my cat. He very old like 13 years old
The book had me reeling for days. I'm balling my eyes out after watching this.
The public in general needs to be more flexible understanding that a person only needs to use a drug few times to become addicted . Some are too fast to judge and very slow to give a helping hand. Humans don't know that by helping the needy they are making the World a better place if they can help one person at a time.
People are always quick to judge, forgetting that there, but for the grace of God, go I.
*Great story, Great movie, GREAT cat Bob and his friend James!!!*
He became my best friend, and surprisingly could actually do tricks i taught him, kinda like a dog would. Sadly I only knew him for a year and a half before tragedy struck. Glad I found this video. Ill always miss/love ya Silly CyBen..
Indeed, everyone deserved a second chance and support from family and society. Stop prejudice!
Thank you for sharing! :)
7 days ago my roommate wakes up me with a white dirty cat. I locked her in a bathroom I bathe and give her a food. Now she's with me everytime I go. I'm so happy because it's Ramadan I named her "hasbi" an Arabic name meaning " a gift from God"
You know what ' you dont choose a cat . A cat chooses you'. Miss u mumma every day
Didn't need to cry tonight 😭😭
me just the same 😢
The way the mother and father came back after his success is true story. His mother literally tried to sue him saying that the movie paint her in bad light.
it touches my heart...Thanks
I agree with you…I wasn’t expecting it, but THIS would be my FAVORITE movie too!
I love it. Bob looks just like one of my orange tabby tiger cats. He will not ride on my shoulder like Bob but he sleeps in my lap. Cats are good karma.
I hate his dad bro, he leaves his son for his new wife and doesn't stand up for him at all despite being his son, then when his son is successful all the sudden he apologizes and gives the BS about "not knowing how to be a father"... smh when your own parents are snakes
I had a cat like this as a kid.. it would only eat and eat some more. Great video, keep it up!
Well, Happy 400.000 subscribers
That cat eating was cute xD I like seeing my cat eat cuz its just too cute just bite and licking xD and some food gets on its face.
Cats are awesome! Saved James' life.
I saw this movie just a day before my cat's death. I cried while watching this, realizing im an awful cat owner. Siick
Cats are awesome therapy animals i have three up until 3 yrs ago i had autism but my cat helped out i was allowed to go to school with him and that's how i started getting friends
They're adorable sassy af but i still love them😽❤️
I loved this one!
It's pretty rarely that I stop one of these recap videos to go watch the actual movie... But I'm doing it for this one. Thank you. Liked and subbed ❤️
I loved the book so glad James conquered his demons ❤️❤️
Enjoyed this tribute to a wonderful story and movie. Thanks.
My doctor gave me stuff to save someone’s life if they overdose. I got it for free and it’s nasal spray. So I carry one with me all the time, you just never know. Years ago I saw someone overdose on what turned out to be methadone. I will look to see if this works for that too. This guy was at a pool I managed so I called 911.
