Im definitely a silver zipper kinda guy too. Especially dark cold colors a warm gold zipper doesnt do. But the warm colors also look good with the flat steel zipper.

Is the zipper just gold colored or is it proper brass? I see what you mean about preferring a nickel or silver colored zipper but if it's proper brass I'll go with that. Brass zippers last forever and the patina that you get over time looks very cool on something like a Bomber.

I tried the standard cut and I couldn't deal with the high, buttoned pockets. From what I recall both the exterior and interior pockets were too shallow for me and the overall look was just too puffy, top it off with the high price. The slim fit might make me reconsider, but in my case it didn't feel like a jacket I'd want to wear all the time so I returned it.

Probably made in the same factory as the Alpha. When these jackets were military issue they were made by Alpha in their US factory. This jacket had not been military issue since the 80s. The jackets Alpha sells are no longer made in the US. All these jackets are now M1-A style jackets and 99.9% are made in Asia. The reason Alpha demands more money for these jackets is because they were once the military contractor. If you want a jacket in this style buy the cheapest one you can find and ignore the label.

I use wet towels for hand sanitation, takes out any dirty spot, greasy whatsoever, anything more serious only dry cleaning.
