ill 🤧 I’m done :(
May contain means cross contamination or an ingredient is made from it.
Gelatin can be made using fish bones and scales (among other animal parts)
The logical response 🫠
So better skip any product with gelatin 🤷🏼♂️
All it means is they were processed in a facility that also processes fish. It is an allergy warning so they can’t get sued. There is no fish in your pancake syrup. ✌️
"May contain" is a label they use if cross contamination is possible... So they made those marshmallows near tilapia lol
Hmm I think I feel worse somehow
No, they use bones from animals to make gelatin. All gelatin products do it, not just great value. It's mainly pork and beef that is why they are not Kosher, vegan, or Halal. Great Value probably uses fish as well to create gelatin so they have to list fish allergies on food that contains gelatin.
I don't care. As long as its cheap and tastes good
I once heard a wise man say this once
The marshmallows got more fish in ‘em then the subway tuna 😭
😂😂😂
Subway tuna is real tuna. The people that did the survey the first time used cooked tuna and heat kill DNA, so how can you test if it's real if you don't use DNA... the second time, they said it wasn't one of the 5 Tunas they tested even though there's more than five types of tuna, 14 of them, and the last test they did they said it is in fact tuna and all white bread is closer to cake than actual bread, this isn't new information, and it may contain tilapia because they need the gluten from fish to make marshmallows, where do you think gluten come from... wait until you find out where all these products are coming from. Whale blubber helps make perfume, and some perfume uses hyenas butt flakes... I wish I was lying but sadly I'm not
Fish can be used as a gelatin source to make kosher marshmallows. It could just as easily said pork or algae.
Can't explain the anchovy syrup though...
I started to feel better until I didn’t lol
Certain types of marshmallows may be made of fish gelatin, typically scales and bones. What did you think marshmallows were made of?
I didn’t think great value marshmallows were of the fish scale variety
gelatin is made from processed collagen extracted from the skin, bones, cartilage, and tendons of animals
To make the gelatin that makes the marshmallow
And BIOENGENEERED INGREDIENTS
LOL so silly
Muslims we know this stuff 😆 🤣 😂. Because gelatin used to make marshmallows, jelly, jams, and syrups use bones of animals to form the jelly. Like opening a can of Spam all that jelly substance comes from the bones of pigs grinded up with the meat. So Walmart is using the bones of all meat products to make their brand food to save money, because some of those bones maybe fish the have to list the fish allergy for legal reasons. All products use meat by products. Unless it's marked halal Doritos, Kraft Mac and cheese, Velveeta etc all use pork bones
Ok you talking trash about what traces are in foods like the Great Value products, then you need to learn what is used as the mechanically separated meats. If you actually knew, you would harp on them too. I dont care. I'm still going to buy the Great Value stuff. Good product, great price. Besides, national brands are the same way and some of their stuff are labeles as the store brands. All gelatin is made from ground up animal bones too, so maybe you should look into that too. SMH!😡
I’m severely allergic to ALL FISH & SEAFOOD! This is disheartening 😢
Literally my same reaction because I have a bunch of random food allergies as well
You should not be eating ANY marshmallow brands then. Because gelatin literally is made from fish
So many sauces are made with anchovies
You ruined my month and it’s the 7th
