  • Even though we rotate our pigs in pasture paddocks every 5-20 days depending on forage and soil conditions, occasionally, we can strip graze parts of the field to get more feed value out of the forages that are growing.

Consider installing a Screech Owl nest box. Owls eat rodents which host ticks and attract pit vipers. Coyotes and Bobcat eat a lot of mice. The fewer mice trails, the less time predators roam your property. Protect your family, pets and Livestock from tick borne diseases like Lyme, Spotted Rocky Mountain Fever and Gulf Coast Tick fever.

Have you tried growing mushrooms somewhere for them to forage? Wild boars like mushrooms. And mushrooms can also increase biodiversity.

We have mushrooms growing naturally in our forests, especially oyster mushrooms, but we do not cultivate them anymore.
