- In January 2017, Rihanna's Clara Lionel Foundation, Global Citizen, and the Global Partnership for Education visited Malawi, one of the poorest countries in the world. The Clara Lionel Foundation has partnered with the Global Partnership for Education and Global Citizen to advocate for strong education systems that ensure the world's poorest kids can get a quality education.

What made me cry is we take so much disadvantage of school.. we show up late, we skip classes , don’t pay attention , sleep in the classes and simply don’t participate but these children are extremely eager to learn! Lord forgive me if I’ve been ungrateful. 😭😩

one thing i really like about these kids is that they are so positive about there future even they don't have enough resources. i truly hope that these kids will fulfill there aspirations in their life.

I'm crying after watching this video. Kids in the wealthy nations are complaining how much stress they are facing,while kids in Malawi don't even have the chance to learn. We need to do more to help them
IamZHIYUAN in the west we kinda do live in a stressful place. i could explain what i mean but i dont want to make that the focus of my comment. i get what you mean though lots of people here for example complain about having too much croutons in their salad while school kids in Malawi or war-torn countries barely have enough to eat.
and what if someone has a worse life? u can still complain. u cant say that students getting depressed because of high stress levels from school is nothing because someone doesnt go to school. and if we should help them why have theu never helped us?
This happens in the islands too.Some families have to do without basic need just to send their child to school.Thats why most after certain age turn to street life.It hard for poor family to get jobs .Because they are discriminated against for living in the slums .Which is sad.

Wow. I live in Malawi and I was 8 when she visited and I never knew. Personally I'm an Indian in Malawi but it's nice to see this. It's true we are one of the world's poorest countries but we're all managing and we've improved so much in the past 3 years

I think Malawi educational system was built using the British education system. They were coloninized by Britain.
Before colonization there were no schools. Any British education system works well in British colonies.
