You Sir are the only reason I bought a Road Glide .. I have been riding softails and Dyna but after watching your video's and getting brainwashed I tried a Road glide and now I own one. Greetings from Norway.
I just rode to Sturgis and back from Toronto, ON. Our club had a rally there and boy oh boy is it beautiful down there! 3700 miles in 10 days, over 800 curves through Needles, Iron mountain and Spearfish. Good times!
Lmao . I’m from NC . I have a friend from Jersey that is as anxious as you. I laugh my butt off at him when he drives just relax you’re in the south take your time and enjoy your life is what I tell him . Y’all could be brothers. Keep on posting.👍
FYI. You can fill up at the same pumps that semi-trucks use. I used to deliver RV's using a 2006 Ram 3500. I used them often along with every other driver. Can't wait to see the shenanigans in SD.
I used to live in Pembroke Pines, originally from NE TN. A little counter intuitive but it tends to be faster to take I-95 to I-26 to I-40. It always seemed faster for me to get to Bristol from SFL on 95 rather than 75. Granted SC roads are trash.
Love the venting while driving 😅. I have the Highway King and can't believe they changed the spring seat that came on it. Best ride long distance 1200 miles over 4th of July weekend. Be safe and have fun at Sturgis, I'm not able to make it this year.
Like your road videos. And I am also that guy never leave home without it. Tires are crazy almost $900.00 for a set of Commandeer 3 on the Ultra stupid.
Yeah they are (the tires). I spent $1k on two new tires for that '09 Electra-Glide I have. I don't do 30k miles per year (I wish I did, but I do at least ride almost daily, sometimes when it's only 28°F here in SE Wyoming, so I wanted some good tires.
Your road trip videos are so much like my hubby road tripping🤪🤣 You are so right about Tifton HD, they are the BEST Harley dealership near us just wish they weren't 80 miles away. Yeah our Bucee's here in WR is always "insanely" congested...their is NO order of flow inside the store or at the pumps🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🚗
We came through Atlanta last of May coming north back home to Kentucky........tokk almost 3 hours to move about 20 miles...........I friggin hate that drive........
The next time you have to fill up as long as you have your trailer in tow. Go to a truck stop pilot/flying j etc. go around where the big trucks fuel. You will have def at the pump and you want have to deal with idiots blocking the pump. 🤔🤔😎
That was a time saver place to crash for the night and a tire installed and ready to ride! Hope the streaking beacon did a good job for ya! Looking forward to the next update!
Nice! Was in Deadwood for a few days, rode through Sturgis yesterday on my way home. Tents are up all over town. I’ll ride back down on the 7th for a few days, maybe I’ll see you guys there. Drive safe!
Bring some fresh air along with you on your way up. I'm based fifty minutes from your Thursday night stop and the last few days, two words.... hot n smokey. Bring a Southeast wind with you and I'll ride down to Grey Goose and buy you your choice of beverages lol. Safe travels...
"What are you afraid of?" Being under prepared. "But, why two?" The quickest and easiest reload is a second pew pew, already loaded and ready to go. Oh. And it's not two. That's just what you see. ETA:Regarding "Blue Beacon". Too late, but I wouldn't let them use the brushes. They have a habit of not cleaning them. More like they dunk it in the bucket and say' "There ya go. Clean." Also, it's called "Streakin" Beacon" for a reason.
I was supposed to be on a ~5000 mile trip, from Hamilton, Canada to Milwaukee for the homecoming festival on my birthday, then to Rushmore and sturgis, then montana, then Calgary and then back across Canada to get home. Unfortunately 8 weeks ago, somebody ran a stop sign and caused me to tbone a Chevy cruise with my ultra classic. Bike was written off, I got my first ever ambulance ride, a bunch of broken ribs and my shoulder was blown apart. My dream ride, ruined by a shit driver. For me, Milwaukee was gonna be the highlight of the trip.
@@ProfessionalMonkey thanks brother, glad to still be here to watch these videos. I might try to get back on the horse next year. Hard to trust other drivers on the road though.
Not going this year. Just finished a 5,500+ mile 2 month ride but planning next year leaving from Arkansas with my Aussie in the sidecar. She’s the riding queen! How many tow and ride vs ride hard all the way?
Thursday I was coming up from Panama to St. Louis and was on the 65 and the traffic turned to bumper to bumper for miles, only to see a stalled car with a cop sitting behind it. I feel it.
lol. This morning I left Bethalto at 8:45, took 55 south to Memphis, on to hwy 78 ( that stretch sucked) until it turned into I-22, and made Jasper, Al by four. That rig of yours must not be built for speed.
There's a solution for Atlanta traffic: AVOID IT. I used to go out of my way to bypass ATL by getting off I-75 just south of Cordele and heading to Albany. Then to Columbus, to Birmingham and then I-65 north to Nashville. Not interstate but pretty good US highway. I could run that way between Cape Girardeau and Albany in the same time as running that trip via Atlanta and Chattanooga.
I'd rather have a firearm and not needed it, then need a firearm and not have it. Headed to the rally next Wednesday. My 26th year... Wayne out West (Colorado)
Chicks have no clue about personal safety. Absolutely clueless. My ex used to laugh when I’d pack my blaster on a trip. Every. Time. Then one day while visiting my grandparents in the lovely resort town of S. Lake Tahoe I got into a gunfight. Just before the gunfight started in a terrified voice she asked if I had my blaster, in a very hopeful way. She never gave me chit about it after that. When people as me why I carry I tell them it’s the same reason I wear a seatbelt. I don’t plan on crashing & I don’t plan on blasting someone. Just in case…
I carry everywhere I go. I wear it concealed, so I always know where it is. I usually only carry the one. But always extra magazines. And yes, MC tires are expensive. But I refuse to cheap out and buy the off brand one. If I can afford to own and ride a HD, I can afford to put quality parts on it.
Considering the way things are goin, it's probably a good idea to be prepared. Especially runnin around the north St. Louis area. PS, if you happen to go past the Donaldson's cycle on St Charles Rock road, would you stop in and ask if my trike's done. They've had it 2 weeks now. No biggie if you can't. I'm gonna have to call em Monday anyway.
Good to hear that you are prepared... Just in case. I hope 2 different calibers in case a bear shows up . My wife always questions my sanity but when the snakes show up while walking the dogs in the woods, she is the first to scream snake and do something 🤣
Dude.... people sitting at pumps is annoying as hell. Go to the big truck stops like Pilot or TA, too many truck drivers will fuel, leave the truck there, walk inside, eat, shower, and anything else, while blocking the pumps when it's busy as hell there. Another reason why I'm glad I'm not over-the-road....
Its pronounced Cor-Deel like peel. You have to think in South Georgia speak bro. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Avoid Atlanta like the "clap" Over MontEagle is pretty high. Thats the mountain that was in the Jerry Reed song about Bandit. Wave as you go by south of Nashville. Wishing we were going also.
my boyfriend was the one who fixed your tire! thanks for stopping by ❤
I really liked him! Good dude!
Thank you! 😊
Appreciate the shout out to St. Charles, MO!!!! My son plays rugby at Lindenwood there.....beautiful town
That’s where I went to college and grad school!
Got here at 2pm from sw mo. My friend is from Kentucky...
The Blue Beacon in Cheyenne, WY does a pretty good job as well.
BOTH types, Country and Western. Props for the Blues Brothers quote. Love that movie.
I haven't watched you in a while so catching up...this didn't disappoint! LOL
Happy Trails Mr Monkey. Keep ranting, we can take it 😁👍
I have to admit that I am really enjoying these road trip videos.
Glad you like them!
Hey Monkey, my buddy & I are heading to Sturgis on Friday riding all the way from Washington state hope to see you there 😂 Funny video

I have been to Beckie’s and not thrilled and I have been through Atlanta and I understand what you are saying be safe
Haha.. great video. Good jokes. In good form today TJ

This might be my favorite video yet😂😂 Your commentary and rants are the greatest😂

5 guys with bigger wands! Lol 😂😂
You're from St. Charles, Mo? A half million years ago, I used to race motocross in St. Peter's. It was a track called Cycle World USA. Good times.

Going I-65 to Nash to avoid ATL is worth every extra min. You avoid those Chattanooga hills as well. Stay safe out there! Jealsous!!
Props on the video quality 👏

That Highway King is mine, the assistant parts manager Hutch, she is one year old. The tag was for my DV tag
100% agree with you about people. These road trip videos area great.
Safe travels
Hey remember alot of us can't go so remember your living a blessed life
Absolutely
Welcome to Atlanta! I live 2 hrs south in Columbus.
I lived in Savannah for many years, the secret to going thru Atlanta is to do it between Midnight and 4 AM
And it is still the big suck.
We're about 13 miles south of Benton. Always enjoy your videos brother!
We came through Atlanta last of May coming north back home to Kentucky........tokk almost 3 hours to move about 20 miles...........I friggin hate that drive........
Hey Monkey, We're leaving tomorrow for Sturgis from Vegas. Should be a fun trip. Hope to see you there.
I run that road alot atl to nashville is beautiful. Native floridian living in wisconsin now. Every 4 months i run home to florida
Omg you made me snort with this one, thank you for sharing!! I am living Sturgis vicariously through you!
LOL!!! Cordeeeeel, GA 😂 Be careful out there~!
True
Loving the updates -
No wonder I haven't been to Sturgis yet...🤣🤣

Do you find that all, or most dealerships, are cool with parking overnight?
I don’t think so…
"It’s too Peoplee around Here" sounds like a gr8 t-shirt idea! R
ATLANTA: Sherman burned it down for a reason. I live 100 miles from there and it is still too close. Greetings from sweet home alabama

Lowe's sells a product called "wet and forget" works great for mold on homes and even RV's

I watched this in a Bucee's parking lot. Commenting while at a KOA campground. And heading to Sturgis.
Hehe.
I had them put the rain X on my camper makes a big difference in the rain and the bugs on the front
I did also. I hope it helps.
The streaking beacon!
XPO! Watch out for the wiggle wagons! Have a good trip. Looks like you’re having fun.
Yes you are funny when you are bored... Have a good trip..
Welcome to my world, Mr Monkey. Been doing that for over 4.5 million miles lol
Watching your mental decline on a roadtrip really makes me feel good that I’m not the only one 😂 love the videos drive safe enjoy Sturgis!

Tifton Harley-Davidson is my favorite dealership. Wallace sold us 3 bikes since 2019. We bought one bike from them twice!
And it's pronounced Core-deal.
Buckys in Warner robins is always slammed
And the look of "I drove thru hotlanta " 😂😂😂 😅 we know your pain.

Atlanta traffic is actually the worst. First time I ever saw a car on fire in traffic
Thursday I was coming up from Panama to St. Louis and was on the 65 and the traffic turned to bumper to bumper for miles, only to see a stalled car with a cop sitting behind it. I feel it.
OMG!! I want an orange Highway King!!
lol. This morning I left Bethalto at 8:45, took 55 south to Memphis, on to hwy 78 ( that stretch sucked) until it turned into I-22, and made Jasper, Al by four. That rig of yours must not be built for speed.
Nothing worse than seeing the eta to your destination increasing by an hour 40 miles before you even get to Atlanta!
LOL bored talking to the camera. I'm still laughing. And then the Steven Segal comment.... LMAO

@@ProfessionalMonkey Yah I figure it's gonna cost me 3 months pay. But it had to be done.
A word of advice. Never buy DEF from the tanks. It is easily contaminated and will cause damage to the exhaust system.
Excited for no reason🥰✨📢⚠️sad
Yeah, Atlanta sucks. I grew up there, it was cool in the 90s going to shows. Now it’s unbearable.

As god intended!

On the way
I ride push bike to Sturgis weather permitting
I hate driving thru Atlanta. Did it once will never do it again
