When does a holding keep me locked away
No chance was given to find myself today
My time of aging wonder when I'll die
But when my time will come I know the reason why!
I have an escape
Alone it keeps me safe and in my home
I have to use it
To keep me satisfied until I'm gone
Don't regret the rules I broke
When I die bury me in smoke!
Under the world I wait for my fate
My bodies lying beneath my blissful state
My time of aging wonder when I'll die
But when my time will come, I know the reason why
I have to risk it
Alone it keeps me safe and in my home
I have to use it
To keep me satisfied until I'm gone
Don't regret the rules I broke,
When I die bury me in smoke
Gotta love that New Orleans sound. Cheers from Louisiana
My brother has told me that he wants this song played at his funeral! Cheers Ruben 🍻🤘🏻
Lets wait a couple of decades for that ;)
Ruben Buijs that’s the idea! He’s just said if I’m still around and have a say at the time he would like this song. Probably wouldn’t go over too well at a funeral though. 😉
Told my brother I want "Don't regret the rules I broke" on my tombstone but then remembered Im having a Viking funeral
Mine too
I saw Phil Anselmo and the Illegals in September. Phil is in great shape and sounds great.
One of the original metal super-bands!
Phil is one of a kind. A little bit like Zakk Wylde... You will forgive him being high or drunk and performing simply because he's Phil Anselmo (Zakk Wylde) and he's still a genius and a living legend. Amen.
How did I miss this! One of my fave Down songs. I agree, Phil has to be my all time fave vocalist. I was lucky enough to have seen Pantera as well, I was 16 and it was my first show ever!
This is part of the deluxe version of Diary of a Mad Band
I love Down I'm a LIFERRRR
Down introduced me to the concept of riff worship and subsequently I got hard into Corrosion of Conformity and Crowbar. Nice reaction though dude.
Phil also sings lead for Superjoint Ritual........add that to the list
And Scour
Phil is the guitar player on those first 2 SJR albums
Phil Anselmo and the Illegals
Hell yea... I got a shout out! Great reaction!
NOLA hands down best album ever.
NOLA album "changed my life"... its Fleur de Lis is my only tattoo
Do more songs from the first two Down albums! "Rehab," "Swan Song," and "Beautifully Depressed" are some good ones
Bad Ass 💪💪💪

Yes! 🖤🖤🖤
Porcupine Tree and Down are my favourite live experiences
You've been missing out sir. Down-Nola (their first album) is my 2nd favorite album of all time. First being Far Beyond Driven by Pantera. Down is a perfect blend of Heavy, Dark, Slow, Melodic, Southern music. Really brutal and beautiful. Phil really shows his heart in Downs songs. Please set aside a day to listen to Nola on repeat.
Nice picks. My 2 favs are
#1 Reinventing The Steel
#2 Over The Under
NOLA is the best! Not a bad song in it :)
I prefer the 2 albums with Rex
And the lead guitarist is Pepper from C.O.C.
both guitarists play lead you twat!
Think you should check out PIG DESTROYER - Army of Cops. Not sure if you've heard of them before or what your reaction will be, but it's some groooovy headbanging shit. Proper grind
Who hasn't done "questionable things" in their life?
That man did more for the people of New Orleans than ANY person crying about racism.
;●) Great presentations and
favourite youtube channel
respect from England
Sylosis - beyond the resurrected
There are some great Sylosis Studio Session vids that deserve reactions.
Anathema - Kingdom (original version from '95 "Pentecost III")
Estrum - Yours (live)
This album came out in 95 way before Pantera ended
I was wondering if you could react to Aunt Suzie by Buckethead? Or whitewash. And just feel the music!
Words words words. I don't wanna get involved in a fight with him though✌.
Some from Iron Maiden??? for example Caught Somewhere in Time 🤘🤘🏾🤘🤘🤟🤘🤟🤘🤟🤟🤟🤘🤟🤘🤟🤟🤘🤟🤟🤘🤟
Nice, dude! Been a fan of pretty much every one of Anselmo's various projects.
If you want the top of your head completely sheared off, try something from his band Superjoint Ritual, it is brutal and unrelenting thrash metal band that decimates everything in its path.
Superjoint is hardcore not thrash metal
@@integrity101 ~ Incorrect.
Nuclear Blast, the company that releases their albums states right on their website:
_"Genre: Thrash Metal"_
Beyond this, Phil has called it "Thrash with a bit of Groove and Punk and in your face fuck you", so....yeah.
react to new live footage of Phil in his new band the illegals just did an entire set of Pantera songs at a small club a few weeks ago and phil sounded great
plz plz plz do AGALLOCH- Not Unlike The Waves!!!
DOWN @ Download **2009** is a much much better performance.
"Is there anything this man can't do?"
It'd be nice if he could sing.
alphaenemy he could sing really good once upon a time. I’m guessing all the whiskey and cigs ruined his voice. But if you check out Cowboys from Hell or Vulgar or his first album with the band in the 80s Power Metal he could sing his ass off with extreme high notes etc. Pantera had some sick ballads back in the day. Cemetery Gates, Hollow, etc.
@@nickcolbert9615 Oh, I know. That's my point, though. That's like his whole career, his vocals.
Phil's vocals are great on all Down records. Touring is a bitch on the vocals. Anyone over 40 is going to suffer to some degree from touring. And btw, when it comes to the range of what he has done vocally in his career, no one touches him. From power metal to black/death, to blues-southern rock, and more.
He could always sing.
@@integrity101 You didn't watch this video.
Please do this Beth Hart performance

It's the best live performance ive ever seen. If you dont know who she is its like Janis Joplin and Joe Cocker had a baby. I guarantee you will be blown away.
drunk vocals, rather check out the studio version
He was already so wasted
