What a pretty transformation! Loving the sleeves especially. So much more feminine 😍

I love lettuce hems ! Last year I ‘ treated’ all my longsleeves with lettuce hems. It make them look so much more special! If the fabric doesn’t recover enough you can throw it in the wash and normally it will. Just don’t do it with old garment. They won’t

How funny, I’ll get the lettuce edge without even trying 🤦🏽‍♀️. Here’s an idea for you if you ever shorten sleeves again the left over pieces I’ll make boot toppers for myself, but you can make them for your girls. That lettuce edge would even be cute for boot toppers. You did a great job.

Nicely done! I was wondering what the lettuce switch was and how to do it. Thank you for sharing your techniques.

I don't have a sewing machine. Is there a way to hand sew it?

Maybe you can try as long as you stretch as you sew, that is how to achieve the curly edges. I'm not quite sure if hand stitching it will give you that.
