Vivienne’s porcelain bird plates are the most beautiful plates I have ever seen. The amount of work required to create just one is incredible! She is an amazing artist and creative soul and those plates are absolutely stunning. I love seeing them and I could look at each one for a long time, admiring her work and the detail and beauty of each plate. They are truly museum quality pieces.
I’m so, so sorry for the devastation your beautiful state and its inhabitants have suffered. Sending you much love and so happy we could bring a little smile. 🥰🏰💖xx, Vivienne
Am so sorry for all you have gone though! So many have been arrested , which as great, So many have been lost though as well. I just pray soon they some how are able to get this contained, Think they now will make sure there is always enough water. The winds will not settle, as they must. Glad you are safe and pray your family as well. I live in NYS, but have been watching this closely,
@ nothing like this has ever happened. We’ve had fires before, but nothing like that. Nothing nothing nothing can compare. This is Armageddon apocalyptic prayers🙏🏼🇺🇸
Tonight I used my French Haviland all white pattern for dinner. It was my grandmother's and was discontinued in 1931. Perfect evening to watch this vlog on porcelain.
@okienana11: amazing I also have a dinner set white but with a delicate gold border circa 1930 Limoges by Theodore Havilland. It’s a gorgeous set & I bought it from an antique dealer here in France.
What a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning watching a surprise episode of Chateau Love. Always enjoy seeing your adventures where you find treasures Vivienne.
Loved this episode! Roving reporter Isabella and her expert source Katy were fascinating. Katy really knows her subject and explains it beautifully. Chapeau!
Amazing video Vivienne ! What a beautiful gift that you are dedicating to us. When you are disabled, and you can't go out, The best way to stay in a good mood, and in hope, it is to surround yourself to art in all beautiful different ways and give glory To God ! Thank you Vivienne and Simon and Isabelle and your amazing help.
wonderful video - creative porcelain painting, you really can - musee Marmottan with own book creation, that is new , thanks for all explanation from stunningly decorated Katy - wow - and always many smiling faces in good and bad weather - thank you so much 🙂👍❤
Vivienne, I loved the new dining space that you and Simon have set up. The use of the tapestry to cover the open wall was a stroke of genius! I recommend that you live in the spaces as they are for a while. I definitely think you should enjoy the dining room with the fireplace until the end of winter. If you decide to, you can always switch back in the spring. Love your channel!💛
I very much enjoyed Bella's trip to the Musée Marmottan- Monet. Simon was hilarious at luncheon, avoiding a sampling of frog legs. I personally have never found anything to taste like chicken except chicken, and no I have never tried frog legs. I came close once, but chickened out in the end. 😅 I have tried escargot. 🐌... Vivienne, I am curious to see yours and Philip's finished plates after they are fired and retuned to you. It would be like elementary school "show and tell." ❤
Vivienne you and Simon are so cute, just a lovely couple, thank you for sharing your walk and the chandelier, very beautiful. You are so talented. Once again thank you for this video.
Great video today. Your daughter and her friend were also fun and interesting. They make a good team. Really liked their AI souvenir from their museum visit. Not sure if the MET does this yet but will be at the museum later this week and will explore. The Bloomberg Connects app also is a great guide for exhibits all over the world and It’s free. Looks like Paris has 36 sites and a few more around the country. These include the Musee des arts Decoratifs and Palais Galliera - musee de la Mode de Paris.
Vivienne, every time I see your hand painted bird plates I fall in love all over again! I think they’re beautiful! The porcelain class looked like great fun -wished I was there. Isabella’s trip to the art museum was very informative. Well done young ladies!
Thank you for another enjoyable video. Isabellas footage was so interesting I really enjoyed it. Vivenne the shops you visited what a treat. Looking forward to seeing your next video.
( 4:46 ) Your favorite porcelain set you pointed out, the expensive exquisite one, reminded me of the "Sun King" ( Louis XIV) with the sun emitting rays of gold from the center.
I so love your channel, filming is amazing and beautiful and every time I smile and learn something new. You beat any documentary on television. Thankyou for bringing sanity and beauty into my life 🤗
I can’t thank you enough for this wonderful vlog, very informative and arty. Isabella’s explanation of her visit was so clearly explained, I have already watched it twice.
Love your bird plates Vivienne. What a fun porcelain class. Cracked up at kindergarten craft comment 😂😂😂 Love the museum Isabella and her friend went to especially the souvenir book. The fog leg conversation was hysterical 😂😂😂Thanks for sharing 😍😘
I think your painted plates are just as beautiful as what they create with transfers. If not more. I like where you put the dining room with the fireplace. Another wonderful episode!!
Frog legs are really good. Don't diss them 'til you've tried them. Next time I'm in Paris I'm going to the Musée Marmottan Monet. Thank you for the video I loved it.
What a great episode. I especially liked the art gallery tour. Katie’s expertise was indeed interesting and insightful. I would love to see and hear more. Thank you for another lovely look into your lives.
This was wonderful to watch x your painting of exquisite plates is second to none and the very best artistry Vivienne, you are so talented it is a joy to see you and Philip both enjoying your love of Porcelain, Isabella and her delightful and knowledgeable friend added yet another aspect to this Vlog, so much to see and so much information and pleasure that you give to us all, Here I am in a cold and rather Grey Northumberland transported to France and enjoying being transported into your glamorous and kind family world x Thankyou ❤
Katy is so knowledgeable! I liked her explanation of the art pieces/movement/era. And Vivienne, your hand painted porcelain could definitely sell for more than those expensive porcelain you showed
Vivienne, Simon and Isabella ❤'sending so much appreciation and affection to you all from wintry, snowy VT. What a lovely escape from my cabin fever!😊Thankyou for the creativity and joie de vivre you always share 🙏🏻👍🥂❤🇺🇸
My husband and his cousin did frog hunting at night. They would bring frogs to his cousins dad, and he would prepare them and fry them in pan. He says that they are very good.
Vivienne, you have great vlogs which are filled with lots of variety of subjects which are very informative. I love your exquisite bird porcelain which you should be very proud of it is just lovely. I have eaten escargot many times but only frogs' legs once which were surprisingly quite delicious and an uncommon ingredient eaten in the southern hemisphere. Health and happiness to all.
I went to Schonbrunn palace in Vienna, it's amazing. Glad the zoo cages were empty.. a bit disturbing thinking that they were just for show, so small. The arch path so skillfully maintained.i saw the garden maintenance cutting and trimming the tree branches with a wood cut template.
I love garlic frog legs, tried them in the UP of Michigan. A took me there in their boat. It was delicious, initially he planned to shock me at the thought of eating. Devine. Actually a less fatty version of chicken not a flavor thing. In France discovered other seasonings for them yum. Great vlog
Vivienne, your bird plates are just exquisite!Surely each one different and treasures for your family!Tablescapes are so lovely to create personally and especially for guests🌟
Beautiful porcelain, but Vivienne, your bird plates are prettier than any other bird plates out there! Loved seeing you and Philip making a different kind of plate. They both looked so pretty!! I hope you both share them when you receive them. I loved the museum that Isabella and Katy went to. Monet is my favorite. They both did a superb job of filming, narrating (loved hearing about the history of the paintings) and I loved the personal books they got at the end. What a fabulous idea! Thank you for the joy you bring us. Love from Mary in Southern California 💗
I'm rolling with laughter !! You guys will eat fish eggs, snails and the most stinkiest cheese but will not eat frog legs.... I can't stop laughing !! I love frog legs !! Yes , they are very similar in texture and taste of chicken. I love you all !! ❤❤
( 30:15 ) The almost abstract "Water Lilies" by Monet I found fascinating. It is reminiscent of the American artist Joan Mitchell who was so influenced by Monet in her color palette of Abstract Expressionism. Mitchell even purchased the estate in France where Monet had once lived in the gardener's cottage.
That museum book app/item is AWSOME! There are so many times when I’ve fallen in love with something I’ve seen, but the museum gift shop doesn’t sell a copy, or they have one photo of one item I loved in a book, but not my other favorites, and I’m not interested enough in the rest of the book to buy it. This is the Perfect solution! ♥️♥️♥️ I got to try hand-painted porcelain in Japan… and found out how much practice I needed. 😉 I should have at least tried the stamps, which was their traditional method of “transfer” ware, but I was obsessed with making my set of five with the same theme. Hindsight is always clear, right? I didn’t do it because four is a bad-luck number in Japan (& China, etc.). But they would probably have been OK with me doing one that was different.
Beautiful porcelain dish collections in Paris. I also liked the pretty fork knife and set you showed us in the beginning! Very nice Vivian and thank you for sharing the fashion and beautiful sites. Thanks to Phillip your beautiful daughter and her friend as well! ❤🤗💕
Hello, merci de faire découvrir à beaucoup de personne l art de la table à la française. De toutes façons vous avez tellement bon goût. A bientôt bon dimanche.😊
You are so brave to be out in the wet, cold weather to bring us this video. So interesting to see the collections . I would be so intimidated to paint porcelain so I admire your passion for it .
It was interesting to see the Catherine ll of Russia style cameo service, the original is by Sevres. I've seen items of it in collections, most of the service is in The Hermitage in St Petersburg.
I'm sorry, Bernardaud, but Vivienne's hand painted porcelaine bird plate designs are superior to yours, in my opinion. I have thought that in the past, but now I am stating my personal choice out loud.
Oh my goodness, with no disrespect to the other artists, but Vivenne, the artistry on your plates are still my favorite!! Maybe you should develop your own line Vivenne..... I bet they would sell very well, just food for thought. ❤ Thx again for a wonderful vlog. It was interesting to see how the plates were done and looking forward to the final result.
I absolutely adore limoge ! Bernarduad is very chateau appropriate and I love it ! I love those birds that have. Looks more natural then the Gold Branched Birds.

I wish I had found that museum when I was in Paris! If I ever have the opportunity to return, it’s definitely on my “must do” list!
Wow! That was a lot to see. I enjoyed it all.

I liked the white porcelain with the gold veins! So pretty! Fun episode!
I agree! You can have a try at making them yourselves: there are Kintsugi repair kits available online.
