- In 2022 Hans Niemann SHOCKED the chess world by defeating Magnus Carlen as Black in round #1 of the FTX Crypto Cup. However, that wasn’t the end of their story!
Of course Magnus Carlsen and Hans Niemann were playing a 4-round rapid match, and Magnus Carlsen came back in round #2 with an opening so disrespectful, it left Hans Niemann in complete shock!
From there Magnus Carlsen continued to bust out some crazy strategies to throw his future arch-nemesis off guard, and the result is some unbelievable chess that you don’t want to miss!

We've all seen this! This channel needs to respect US more...
Glad I can click do not recommend videos from this channel. F stuff like this
Hans, left his house this morning forgetting to insert his beads.
Those beads have been in your mouth the whole time. Take them out cheater!! And shut up!! 🤫
1.a3!? Anderssen's Opening is named after unofficial World Chess Champion Adolf Anderssen, who played it three times in his 1858 match against Paul Morphy. 😎
We call them garbage openings. Magnus just calls them a more artful way to win.
Seems like Magnus used the shorter time control to bluff Hans because before the endgame his position looked very dubious. Bluffs occasionally work in shorter time controls…especially when you’re Magnus! LOL
Soooo, cheating scandal? Where was the cheat, bro?
Don't quite understand the criticism I'm seeing in a few posts. The video speaks for itself. Subbed.
i like the artwork behind you

magnus: "always play Kf2"
In general I disagree that Carlsen's unorthodox openings are disrespectful. He's just bored with all of the "book" openings and wants to see if he can win with something unusual that forces his opponents to think on their feet rather than just playing memorized moves. But given Niemann's checkered history, I would not be surprised if there was a bit of dissing here. Like, "I don't need a solid opening to beat you. What are you going to do about it?" I don't know if Hans was shocked. You ALWAYS say he is shocked by whatever game you are covering, even if there is nothing in the video to justify his name in the title.
Yes. Why on earth an out-of-the-book move is disrespectful
If you thought a guy was cheating. There is no opening option that can help you, lol! 😂
1.a3 Anderssens Opening after Adolf Anderssen, who played it againt Paul Morphy.

This is clickbait, and i am blocking this channel.
This is a good match. What are you looking for other than good matches?
The title was a little overkill, but I enjoyed the game recap. Subbed!
If you have nothing to post, don't post at all. 2022? Are you serious? smh
That says everything about Magnus, and that is that he is a bad sportsman and does not accept defeat.
