Hello! I'm thinking about what could have been going wrong on your vegan journey because I was bloated for quite a while as well. Later on I found that it usually happens when you bacteria in your gut changes and that you get used to plant bacteria. It's harder the more meat, dairy and junk bacteria you have to break down the plant food and also the opposite. However plant bacteria is much more beneficial for health. Hope that explains it a little bit. I also think that you might have had some deficiency. Maybe omega-3 defiency since you wanna eat salmon? Could be wrong. Maybe worth checking on a calorie tracking sight since eating a whole foods plant based diet is really healthy. Furthermore I experince pretty much the opposite that I'm slim and I wonder do you incorpoate any oils or how many calories did you get in per day?
