Adam S. Miller, "Life In Christ Before You Die"
We often hope for an abundant life with Christ in the next life, but how can we let ourselves and our own desires die so we can be born again to a new life, a full life in Christ, here and now in this mortal life?
In this MI Guest Lecture, Adam Miller offers suggestions-at once scriptural, philosophical, and literary-for how to share a life with Christ today. The lecture is based on his forthcoming book, "An Early Resurrection: Life In Christ Before You Die."
ADAM S. MILLER is a professor of philosophy at Collin College in McKinney, Texas. He and his wife, Gwen, have three children. He is the author of many books, including "Rube Goldberg Machines: Essays in Mormon Theology" (Greg Kofford Books, 2012), "Speculative Grace: Bruno Latour and Object-Oriented Theology" (Fordham University Press, 2013), and two editions of "Letters to a Young Mormon" (Maxwell Institute & Deseret Book, 2018). He also serves as the director of the Mormon Theology Seminar.
This is life changing! Thank you forever, Dr. Miller.
I can't wait for this book to be available. This is a remarkable presentation, crossing all Christian denominational lines. Thanks again, Maxwell Institute, for making this available to me in Casper, Wyoming. Edit: I just wanted to add that I did, indeed, buy the book. All I can say is that it's 128 pages of pure phenomenal--a fresh perspective about living in Christ.
Thanks for the kind words, Pam!
Absolutely beautiful. What inspiring, eloquent, heartfelt words.
Thanks for watching, Sondra. :)
Lecture begins @ 7:45. You're welcome! 😊
This Adam Miller,is not just a clever man, I believe he has received inspiration from the Holy Ghost. I have often had the same thoughts as he voiced in this presentation, but I never articulated them as he has. (Very good job)
I really enjoy this man’s thoughts and testimony.
We are glad you enjoyed. He is a very spiritual and smart man.
Well worth the listen 🙏 =]
Some really interesting thoughts. Made me think more on the scripture, "lose his life for My sake shall find it". It goes well with the recent admonition to "minister".
Thanks, Dermot.
It would be nice if you could cut out the academic pre-amble
The talk itself was incredible and has helped me with some difficult feelings I have been having, to sharpen and adjust my faith in Christ
Glad you've enjoyed the talk, Chad.
alguien podría traducirlo al español....please
