It's really close though. Richmond is like 70% Asian and Markham is 69% Asian. But strictly Chinese, it's Richmond 53% and Markham 45%. However, it may just be a matter of time. In the past 20 years, Richmond grew by roughly 33%, but Markham blew up nearly doubling its population. In both cases, that growth is mainly Asians. Honestly though as a native Torontonian... Markham is really nothing special. It's just a giant suburbia that is heavily filled with Asians. Also those food courts can be found in many places across the GTA. There's nothing special or unique about them. The city has so much more to offer than those fast food choices for Asian cuisine.
Laos 🇱🇦 Pride 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 props and respect to them for trying it. Our food is so slept on and idk why because it’s delicious and the flavors are amazingly different.
Omg I can’t believe y’all finally did a video here! I live in Scarborough and I have access to all the Asian food and I always watch yall food hauls and I think to myself, Markham and Scarborough is where y’all need to go!
Kayla Nguyen If you want good and cheap food. Head to the local super market food courts nearby: Foody Mart, T&T. Search them up on google maps if you’re around Pacific Mall.
You should totally go to Richmond not just for the food the night market but the yearly dolphin park basketball tournament. Steve Nash has know to make appearances!
I love that you guys came up to Canada! I'm from Montreal and the Chinese side of my family lives mostly in Toronto. More specifically Scarborough and Markham and Agincourt. I kept wondering if I would see one of my cousins! I love watching your videos especially as I has spent a lot of time in Manhattan. Keep making your awesome videos!
Fantastic video. I luv seeing you guys as millennials maintaining and representing your food but showing everyone else what ya got to munch on in Canada. Would love to see more Asian foods and places to go there. 🤗👍🏾
Guys, I just opened my food business in this mall today!!! And now this video pops up in my UA-cam recommendation list! 3:02 see the background 好江南大排档 that's my unit. We serve authentic Shanghai style dimsum including Shengjianbao 生煎包 , Xiaolongbao小笼包, Shanghai Wonton 上海大馄饨小馄饨, Rice Dumpling 粽子 and Nanjing style vermicelli in duck soup老鸭粉丝汤! Welcome to try! BTW, the two white square boards are where I mount TVs. Seems like this video was shot some time ago because my TVs have been mounted 2 weeks ago. TBH, this Pacific Mall is a bit old and there need to be upgrades in a lot of places. But overall it's still quite popular.
To the Fung Bros: Very good video. Don't forget about Vancouver and Richmond which has a large Chinese community. I went there recently for a vacation. There is a great mall in nearby Burberry called the Metropolis that has a T & T Supermarket. That market is awesome. It has a large variety of excellent dine-in Chinese food (about $6.99 per order) and ready-made boba drinks ( it is reduced to half price near the end of the day). I sure wish there was a T & T Supermarket in the U.S! Please consider doing a video for your fans about T & T Market and the Metropolis. Thank you.
I've been to the Markham/Pacific Mall area many times before. In fact, I just came back from there on the 16th. I specifically go there for the good food.
Can you do one on torontos chinatowns the chinatowns not the suburbs. Thanks and keep up with the awesome vids. Plus more of asain parents do? Thanks again
My family has a restaurant too and I go like almost every 2-3 weeks to help out when they are short on workers I get the same 3 things every time too😂😂 PS ngl I'm craving everything in this video but I can't have any because I'm in school and there are no actual authentic Chinese places where I live
They may be squab and not pigeon. Pigeon were introduced to America as a food source just like the common carp. Now both are no longer looked at as a food source, and commonly seen as a nuisance. Thanks for the vid!
Worst thing about Pacific Mall food court, theres not enough seats. I actually prefer the waffles from that snack shop that was behind you where you were eating the waffles. I also love Papa Changs thats down that same alley. FMP, the food court there is just amazing. Also with the seating problem on the weekend lunch rush but way more seats available at least. I prefer the yellow place BBQ, the lines are always so long between the 2. But my goto is the Vietnamese Pho spot.
Hello FB, seeing Toronto was nice - the food court style food has always been different when compared to overseas. Cantonese food had been harder to breakthrough as modern day Chinese cuisine compared to maybe pad thai with a lime on the side or summer rolls for light eaters. Tho my favorites of Canto food are sticky rice with bamboo leaf, taro cake, or curry pork skin. Small grabs at food courts. Less fatty calories :) Elle for Rinds instead of Belly
I live in San Francisco and we do not have this variety of food. we only have 80%taishan country food but when you order outof local Taishan food from 8 dollars it jumps to 13 dollars for a rice plate for any food outside canton food so we donot pay the high prices. So we are happy to eat local Taishan country food. 1/2 a duck for $9.50 buck is average. cha sieu $9 for a pound. All cooks are Taishan
12:54 Guy behind counter: Are you taking pictures? I'll come out. Fruity Poppin: We're not taking pictures of you, but you are a very handsome "boy", but we are not taking a picture of you. No need to worry. GHC: But I want to be on camera. FP: Oh you do, you do want to be on camera. No problem no problem, very fast very fast. We would also like a 3 topping, thank you. Not sure if they guy wanted to be in or not in the video. Rough translation.
Those Asian food courts reminds me of the one in Hong Kong,Sham Shui Po, Kowloon @ the new dragon centre mall. Just all Asian food cramed tiny shops with thousands of dishes. Even has McD,KFC a arcade with a rollercoaster and a ice rink on 9 the floor.
Most likely reason why the place is called Kenny's Noodle is, they started with the Chinese name, 聯記, then from there, they transliterated it into Kenny. Quite a few Chinese restaurants do this. They have a Chinese name in mind, but to make it easier for non Chinese speakers, name it something close based on sound and no relation to meaning.
LA has lots of places that serves pigeons not just Canada. It is very common in California too. Our family have it every family gathering in 半岛 inside focus plaza.
I can't believe you guys went to Markham, I live in the downtown area just near that movie theater. I think the "Downtown Markham" is just a name made by the real state developer there, as its competitor named the block right beside it as "Uptown Markham". They're literally right next to each other. Also, I didn't know CantoMando were native of Markham. This city reminds me of a more spacious version of Richmond, British Columbia , where I've lived for several years as well, lol.
It’s the mall that I always went to when I went to high school in Toronto and we call it 太古 tài gû in Mandarin, ask any Chinese international students, they all know this mall hhhhhh
Was a lot of fun showing you our city 😀 If you guys ever come to Toronto, drop by Markham too!
I didn't know you were going to be in the video XD. been watching you guys for a while now yall funny af

I’m from Hamilton Ontario and very excited that this appeared on the fung bros channel!
You should go to the intersection bathurst Wilson in north York in Toronto it's called little Manila known for Filipino food spots
Thank you for your comment 🙏
You should totally go to Richmond not just for the food the night market but the yearly dolphin park basketball tournament. Steve Nash has know to make appearances!

Beside Richmond, BC. There are a lot of Asian neighborhoods in the Lower Mainland.

Love Cantonese food. Cantonese Chow Mein is one of my favorite noodle dishes. 😋
It is called Kenny's Noodle because it is close to Kennedy Road! (my guess lol)
Nice video lol I definitely walked by ur table at 4:53

This was such an awesome vid, love Chinese food & people, love Pac Mall. We’re big big fans of Kenny’s Noodle, we’re there every Sunday! ☺️💖
