0:37 The city's mayor is under scrutiny for failing to solve a months-long problem in the downtown area. Each day, dozens of angry passengers complain by sending emails, photos, videos of the trams that are forced to stop on the tracks on this notorious street, thanks to the cars parked there. Legally! On average, a vehicle removal unit takes 45 minutes to arrive and snatch an offending car, clearing the way for a tram. The organization reports that they are dispatched 7-10 times a day for that street alone. _'Why isn't parking prohibited here is beyond me'_ - says one passer-by. This narrow street renders the newly opened tram line completely useless, despite the mayor's efforts in showcasing and advertising it in the prior weeks. And today, folks, a tram driver finally snapped and went through that section without stopping, causing astronomical damage to the vehicles and the tram itself. This could be the final blow to the mayor's career. For years, citizens have questioned his overall competence, seeing his efforts always focused on irrelevant details city-wide, such as proportionally aligned flowers and bushes. He even created a broadcast for anyone to watch regularly. _'Who give a daym 'bout flowa when you gotta wait hours for a traym to cum'_ - said one angry woman in a tram stop 2 blocks from the scene, not knowing about the accident.
How about a cultural centre next like London’s West End or NYC’s Broadway? Maybe a central square with an opera house, national ballet, a theatre and a museum.
yes, that's the only thing really missing. I'm lived in france in a middle town and we have a lot of opera house, theatre, museum, and also cinema. I don't know if that kind of assets exists
There were a lot of unruly pedestrians! They should stop looking at their phones and pay attention to their surroundings when crossing tram lines! j/k I really enjoyed the ride! Your city is so lovely
Ah, the hot dog vans, donut vans, hippie beetles! So nice to see them again after the update (no, not really :D). Great video btw. Shows how much detail the city has and it's amazing.
I have to say that, seen from this perspective, I like Nydal way more than usual. Somehow it seems different. That was really enjoyable. And with the yellow trams and the way some of the narrow streets curve and meet at crossings, there are moments where it reminds me of older parts of Lisbon (which is a good thing, of course).
This video reminds me of the "Minutt for minutt" slow TV that's produced in Norway, where one can see things such as the 8-hour crossing of the central mountains in Norway by train. Love it.
I know for a game right now this I think is as realistic as a simulator can get, but I do hope and believe that in the coming years there will be simulators that are even more realistic than those we have now. Thanks you Strictoaster for the awesome content you! Never disappoint!
I listen to music and watch this with the sound on but not as loud so its like background noise. Helps me relax so much when I'm stressed with uni work. So thanks!
Are the public on this game unaware of the massive tram coming towards them? Saw multiple cars and buses just drive straight into the sides of the tram... Beautiful city, well done!
They want to keep the train, but it wasn't either accesible nor emissions compliance, so they had to change to van transport service. They also had make the owls follow the GDPR.
I've been following your work for 3 years now, and I enjoy every moment watching how you bring design styles into the game. I would love to hear your thoughts on a real city map building in CS. I am an avid fan of the game since the vanilla and always enjoyed playing different city styles. Now, I'm thinking of starting a series that will mainly focus on terraforming and developing maps based on the actual cities that are not available in the steam workshop. I'd love to hear from others too. Let me know your thoughts on this. Would you play a map that is not available in the steam library yet? Do you want me to create one for you based on the city you love?
SVaughn It really does, I remember back then in 2016 thinking that Rhinestone Island was the most detailed city ever, looking back and it looked average at most..
are you going to incorporate anything from the new sunset harbour DLC into Nydal given that Nydal is a coastal city some of it might fit in really well
Awesome! I have one suggestion. The view is from the outside so you could mabe use some sounds that are not from the inside... Or you can move the camera like POV and use these sounds.
Stats:
28 Hit-and-Runs
2 Derailments
6 Vehicle Collisions
22 Dimensional Rifts
5 Incompetent Painters
1 Abandoned Mobility Chair
16 Red Ladder Vans
3 G-Men
8 Buildings The Camera Flies Into
City Score: 409/500
This is like a little easter egg hunt for people who haven't watched the video yet
The number displayed on the tram is not the line, its the kill streak

for a tram to what?
@@nebmis Hey I'm just the reporter, blame the locals' accent!
@@tarcal87 but you wrote that down.. didn't you?
@@nebmis True, I should have redacted it! Journalism 101, I guess
@@tarcal87 There's a saying - You hear what you want to hear.

@@brspjtlvc Those assets do exist, gorgeous ones too. Off the top of my head I can think of 4, 5 assets by Geze and Titan that would fit the bill.
There were a lot of unruly pedestrians! They should stop looking at their phones and pay attention to their surroundings when crossing tram lines! j/k I really enjoyed the ride! Your city is so lovely
Without a doubt the best city I have seen so far, and I watch many of these tram/train/bus rides. You have nailed it, well done.

Lisboa é linda demais
I always saw Nydal from a birds view and throughout the series it was mostly "dead",say lifeless.
However it was so beautiful and this is even better.
Visually perfect city and realistic sounds make it one of the best tram rides I've seen.
This video reminds me of the "Minutt for minutt" slow TV that's produced in Norway, where one can see things such as the 8-hour crossing of the central mountains in Norway by train. Love it.
It's amazing how much detail this game has, when you take a good look at it.

This is next level of satisfaction. Please upload more rides :)
That was fun! I love this beautiful city!

5:44 Hogwarts Bus is back
Lmaoo
Your cities are so well done! I am in awe every time I watch your videos.
What a nice and relaxing video ! The city looks great man!
6:13 did the tram eat that bike? where did it go?!
Tram vore
it went...
That's what you get for being a filthy cyclist in Nydal.
ASMR sounds ;) .
About the city its architecture is as real as it get.
this was really nice!!!! I love seeing the city from this angle- Incredible work!
Superb modelling!
It almost feels like I have been in this city before
Are the public on this game unaware of the massive tram coming towards them? Saw multiple cars and buses just drive straight into the sides of the tram...
Beautiful city, well done!
Drinking game:
Take a shot every time a car hits the tram
Take two shots every time the tram runs over a pedestrian
4:35 - gangster old lady gives NO fucks
Amazing work as always, Strict!
I don't find the building (at the left) on your asset list :( 7:18
Well, there's not much social distancing in Nydal éhéh
5:37 That on the left must be platform 9 3/4 . There he goes to Hogwarts :)

I was like wow your city is so realistic and then a van spawned into a wall
In which episode(s) do you build the tram lines?
Thank you! This is so relaxing to watch.
Yup. I stop building now. After seeing this my city is just .. yeah ... let's say I am not that good. At all.
Practice makes perfect. Keep working on your city and as time goes on you'll get better.
SVaughn It really does, I remember back then in 2016 thinking that Rhinestone Island was the most detailed city ever, looking back and it looked average at most..
This time no casualties, I think, maybe....
6:14 Oh no didn’t say anything
*6:12
Cyclists aren't human.
are you going to incorporate anything from the new sunset harbour DLC into Nydal given that Nydal is a coastal city some of it might fit in really well
5:47 what is that car doing there???
Nydal means 'new valley' in swedish
Man the tram doesnt even stay on rail. Also ... a city wich such tight corners might need shorter tram cars.
it look more realistic then real-life lol just amazing
Wonderful, like a real city.
What was your inspiration for the name "Nydal"?
This was such a great series
Beautiful City!
Awesome! I have one suggestion. The view is from the outside so you could mabe use some sounds that are not from the inside... Or you can move the camera like POV and use these sounds.
Finally at last that's what I've been waiting for!
How do you just recommend starting a city? Is there any essential mods aswell?
is there a way to download this map on steam?
This video is so soothing :)
This is awesome!!
I feel like im going through a real city
I simply need to know how many takes you record for each ride video
What camera mod is this?
What is this map theme ? Please answer me.
I love how everything is Europe then we see a donut van
What tram asset do you use 🥺
You should make a Japanese inspired city next
Where did you get the sounds for this?
El sonido es PERFECTO.
Who needs umbrellas when you're a citizen of Nydal, all that's gonna do is block the view of the beautiful city blocks anyways
More of these please.
So many glitches lol, it was funny 😄 😆
I still think a formula 1 track would be pretty cool, out a ways from the city of course
nice city!
I loved this! Reminded me of Milan!
hmm, i think this 15-20 years ago, some normal fps/tps games got less detail cities then this one city builder game =) .
Outstanding
beautiful
That train is way to big for this city
That was legitness
Awesome,,,,,!!!!!
how do this guys create such pornographycal cities
The devil is beating its wife...
Too many trams, too many stops. Otherwise, beautiful city/town.
Cool.. but it would be better with music.. maybe
I don't like the rain
You have to many stop and for my that don t look nice
