If the world was a house, its cuisine would definitely be Türkiye. I have never seen a country with such delicious food and such a developed palate in my life. Turkey is divided into regions with names, (isn't it true? Black Sea, Aegean....) each region has different spices and dishes, I was shocked. I will go to Turkey again.😻

Each region has a culinary culture according to its climate in Türkiye. Turks ruled almost all nations for 1000 years. Turks went to every geography. Therefore, the culinary culture is unique. Even just one soup that my family makes has 20 types. just soup. you think of the others

The first bakery have a beautiful homestead decor and I will definitely start my day with a sip of coffee there if I resided close by. Turkey has such a warming vibe & feeling from the culinary aspect to the people in general. My favorite is the battered fried sardines & the sheepshead wrapped with that fresh baked bread. The markets look splendid for a weekend walkthrough as well. What a amazing virtual Saturday treat this was honestly I can nearly smell the aroma through the screen from those kabobs & roasted charred peppers omgoodness lol. Thanks Mark for this phenomenal eye candy!! I'm learning Turkish cuisines are a must to experience from this remarkable tour!! Safe travels & blessings to you and your family always!! Tulumbas are also popular here, in Greece.
As for pide, greek version always include cheese, so it is called Peinirli (yes, a turkish name, meaning "cheesy"!).
Cocorets is also popular, but not as a snack, but something you order in a taverna.
A variation of Manissa kebab is called Yaourtlu Kebab here.
If Turkey feels different, yet very familiar to greeks, Ismir/Smyrna feels like home!

Most farmers in the US over water their crops including Arugula/Rocket, especially in northern states where the soil has an abundance of moisture.
Minimal watering will force the roots further into the ground where moisture and salts feed the plant.
That's why Turkish herbs, veggies and fruits have so much flavor.

hey Mark, just wanted to say, I appreciate your video style. It feels comforting to hear just the slight noise of people talking and not super loud music. Also, welcome to my hometown, even though you're in Gaziantep now haha.

Mark, first of all, thank you for visiting my hometown and enjoying all those goodies. I see lots of comments, and all I feel is that not just you, but everyone who comments on this video, are happy. I would love to see everyone happy and united. No war, no pain, no fight-only love, only peace. Keep up the smiling face, brother. I still can’t believe how you keep your form so well. Now I’m hungry and will start making my salad:( Man, I would love to have that söğüş and kokoreç. You should also try kumpir and my all-time favorite food, mantı. God bless
