This is certainly a funkier version than what they laid down on "Silver Pistol!" Amazing to see Bob Andrews with all that hair as well as Ian's facial foliage! This American turned 18 in 1971 and absolutely HATED 99% of the popular music of that era, but LOVED the Brinsleys, Flamin' Groovies, and of course the first two Big Star albums. My love for pub rock led me to both Dr. Feelgood and Graham Parker and the Rumour and by about 1976 or so, you could feel the tide was turning but we all know how that delusion played out. Thanks for posting this and you've made my day!
Been listening to this for decades (and probably pub band covers too) and just realised now how incredibly slick this is. Confident and well rehearsed musicians.
I'm almost 69 and I remember every mention of Brinsley Schwartz by the music writers, never read one positive or downgrading review?!?!?!? Always ohhhhhh... their a pub rock band, nudge, nudge, wink, wink.... WTF!!! My first record was "Nervous on the Road" whole record was killer!! Love that band!!! Mucho talent there. 😁👍
Wasn't Nick Lowe in this band? That would explain why Dave Edmunds also did it. I put both versions and writer Jim Ford's original demo in my Edmunds playlist. Thanks for the upload!

These guys were so good. Catchy tunes well played and sung.

Wonderful. Miss you all at the Tally Ho.
Heaven Brinsleys at their best thanks for uploading
Absolutely brilliant ❤
I feel like I'm there again. So emotional!
I had heard about their desire to model themselves somewhat after The Band…… And I totally get that vibe here
this is classic rock(nroll)
've Been waiting for!

trfesok he is playing bass and singing harmony
@@IBOGW And the third verse even though the camera manages to avoid him throughout it!
Nick is there on bass beside Ian Gomm.
Dave wasn't in Brinsley Schwartz as a musician, but he did produce at least one album of theirs. BS also was his backing band on one of Dave's albums.
Dave Edmunds sucked so much juice off this band. He put it right on there in his records.
