    This lovely Porsche Cayman 718 had been to a local Bodyshop for some minor repairs and unfortunately had been left in a really poor condition. The painted areas had very deep sanding marks and holograms from poor polishing, the replacement panel had barely any paint (less than 90 Microns!) and the rest of the car was covered in the standard swirl marks and minor scratching in keeping with regular use!
    over the course of about 35 hours of work this car has been restored to an as new condition, how Porsche intended it to look.
    As per always, the videos and filmed and edited by us and take considerable time - If you enjoy this kind of content, you can support our channel by simply subscribing, giving this video a like, leaving a comment and sharing with a friend!

      It would be epic to see a BTS from you guys, covering the install, wiring, design and build as that is something you guys do brilliantly but the magic isn't shown !
      Just takes forever to film and edit 😂👍🏽

    First watch, really enjoyed this so thanks for the time and effort that goes into filming the process. I am similarly minded to yourself, though just a sideline for myself.. I enjoy much of the same equipment, cutting and finishing pads as you've used here
    Couple of general ideas / comments that I had as I watched.. I'd hope for similar comments if I was ever brave enough to film my process!!!;
    - hydrophobic spray and rinse is definitely a time saver and is removed from the paintwork through polishing, but not on the plastic trim and glass, unless polishing it too. Worth considering as it can impact the bonding of the coating IF the panel wipe doesn't strip it entirely.
    - this was unlikely to be your normal process but assume for the other 3 wheels the pre-wash (or APC for the arches) or snow foam were applied to help get the crud off the wheels before making contact.
    - quite plush towels for ceramic coating initial wipe! I typically go for 300-350gsm and then use a 500gsm for the final wipe, I find the lower GSM (still high quality, edgeless) give better initial bite and are more cost effective!
    Really interested to hear your thoughts on veritas as a panel wipe.. tried many, tend to stick with Eraser or Gtech but not tried Labo's.

      Hello, thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed
      The spray and rinse coating isn't super durable, trims are polished anyway, and IPA wipedown removes it , been doing it this way for many years and not had any durability issues, although you are totally correct in theory
      Yes all the other arches etc were APC/Snow foam - the rest were cleaned off the car so the usual rinse, and decon process was carried out
      Our coating is kind of on the thick side so having a thicker towel helps, and I have found with low GSM towels (eg costco) can scratch paint, and I really get upset having to polish again 🙂
      This is personal preference though, so that's up to you
      Likewise for panel wipe, its personal preference I really like carpro eraser but I find the Labo stuff more versatile, it also is great for removing any high spots or odd touch up paint etc
