Hey, my friends! Long time, no see.
After the Adventure Time finale, I fell in love with this song, written by the lovely Rebecca Sugar for the last episode. Her live performance at Comic Con was really inspiring, and while I loved how it played out in the show, sung by BMO, I couldn't help but have this idea in my head of how it would sound if I used all the associated instruments of the main characters. So, we have Marceline with bass, PB with chiptunes, Finn represented with ukulele, and Jake with his trusty viola. I hope you enjoy.
I love this show, and I love this song. Thank you to Rebecca Sugar for writing this song, and thank you to the whole AT staff for so many years of love.

This song is basically just telling the viewers: "The show has ended, but you still have every episode at your fingertips. You've seen what will happen, what might happen, and what is happening. This song seems like something someone who ended a long-lasting friendship would listen too. Idk why that’s something I got out of this song lol maybe cause there’s some friends I have that…I’m just not clicking with them,but I still wanna BE with them ya know? I might end things later,but for now I just wanna vibe with them even if it isn’t super enjoyable. And if I break it off,I won’t forget them we’ve shared lots of things and I will always care for them.
honestly, that's why I recorded this tune. so, you're spot on. At some point much later we rebuilt the friendship, but having to end a beloved friendship was the exact headspace in which I recorded this, so thanks for the comment

I hope future generations of children will one day be able to experience adventure time like I have. I literally grew up with this amazing show. It's been around since I was about 12 (currently 20) and that is just... such a crazy time period. So much has happened in my life and this goofy show has been going along in the background the whole time. Now it's over, but the ending hit such a * perfect * chord with me, that I feel less like the show is over and all the characters have vanished, but more like they will all continue to go on, just without me watching. It's like saying goodbye to an old friend, but not because they're dying but because they're just moving away forever. They'll continue to live their life, you just wont live it together anymore. But, I guess like the song says...

Dude, I wanna happy-cry from how much your comment makes me feel. Every word is so spot on to how the adventure was for me. I still remember the first ads that came out on TV when they started airing the show, and now it feels so weird to see it end, but in the best possible way, you know?

I was just born when the first clip of it aired on nickoldien so I have grown up with this show my entire life , it really hurts but the way that this show was , I know it will inspire many more people to create more things just like adventure time . it will always be in my heart and as they say "the fun will never end".
it's been around since, well, before i was born, and then when it was around its last season, i watched it all really quick and caught up, but in my hotel as i was moving, i witnessed the very last episode.
I see so many people inside of Adventure Time. When I was younger I would try to draw parallels between the characters in the show and my own experiences. Only now that I’m older and have lived out my teenager years I can really see the experiences Adventure Time was preparing me for. Finn ended up being a very relatable character, and I’m so glad I had this show to help raise me through my childhood. I’m still planning on having that spaghetti dinner.

This version is a little more upbeat and less melancholic than the original, but your voice and the instrumentals are just so pleasing to listen to. Maybe I'm just a big baby but no matter how many times i listen to this song it brings me to tears. Thank you for such a bittersweet cover!! 💕

im not kidding when i say that this song caused me to burst out into tears when i FINALLY got to see the finaly just a few years ago. i was full ugly sobbing for the whole thing because this show is such a big part of me. this show is me, no, i am this show. i love adventure time will all my heart and i couldnt of asked for a better finale to not just the show, but my childhood.
on another note this is 100% my favourite cover of one of the most impactful songs ive heard in my life.

This cover is so beautiful! I hope future children will be able to watch adventure time, and will smile, laugh, and cry, at how beautiful the show actually is. Im glad I grew up with the show. It started when I was 6, and ended when I was 13, and I've watched every bit of Adventure Time. And I love how the lyrics actually show the progression of the show:

Dude...your voice is RAD. And your mic is super clean sounding and the instrumental is so original. Everything about this was just perfect. If you don't mind me asking, what mic and software do you use?
Thanks so much for listening! My dad has the microphone I usually use, which is an AT4040, so this was recorded with an MXL 550. Pretty cheap mic, but I actually liked it a lot! I recorded the ukulele with it as well. As for software, I arrange and record in Logic Pro on a Mac.

Remember, no matter how many years its been, or how distant the memories of adventure and childhood are, they always happened. The days spent getting lost in the woods and playing pretend with your friends, before relationships and homework and work, before you worried about money and family, when you can just be friends and ignore your issues, will always be there. You always went on those adventures and those nights playing smash and d&d and watching cartoons and anime in your friends basement will always have happened. But remember they happened when you feel down and life will make sense again.

I have the mental image of a character singing this to another character who accidentally zap them outside of time and space. Character 2 having an existential crisis from what they did. Character 1 being calm while sing to comfort character 2. The pictures on the wall metaphor would help organize the pieces of time. So they know where they need pop back into the timeline at.
This is honestly my favorite song in Adventure Time. For a song that's mostly the chorus repeated it still has a huge meaning that could be literally written on 3 different pages. Anyways hearing someone else cover it is just imagine. This time I at least didn't cry. . . I mean.... " *sweat from my eyes* ". Anywho keep up the good covers. I'll be sure to check out more.

I see all these happy and grieving comments about the show but it doesn't make me feel like that. It makes me feel like things are going to keep going. The soft ,drizzly rain will always come. Those beautiful sun rays come day after day. That older blanket gets a little less soft the more you sit in it. Things seem to suck right now. They will probably still suck tomorrow. Time doesn't heal all wounds but it will numb them. You're going to be alright, you can still see the sunrays through the clouds. You can still remember how soft that blanket was. Its going to be okay, everything is going to be okay. Its a melancholy kind of joy.

This song is so beautiful and this cover makes it even better. And after hearing this song when i am mature now it makes so much more sense. It's how nothing can beat the forces of time and eventually the things you love disappear but the memories remain forever.
This songs make a lot of things in me, an end of an era of amazing histories and a lot of funny momments. But series like these does never ends and the adventure will continue and continue along all of our lives and inside new histories; made by kids inspired in this that now are young men.
