    Awesome video Troy, definitely good info right here. Another thing I would say to check its camber adjustments, mine had positive camber all around. Also tighten the servo saver nut a lil, it will help with steering wobble.

      Nice adds! My alignment was rather spot on, but you are right that it should be checked!

    Awesome tips! Of course I’m seeing this after I ran mine the first time... Definitely going to take all your suggestions, wasn’t real happy with my first runs, no traction off the line and hard to keep straight. Hopefully the slipper adjustment helps with that, plus I’m going to order other tires.

    Thanks Troy!
    I needed to bleed the shocks and remove 1 mm of flashing on one of the pistons that was binding.
    Besides the normal taping, I also had to taped down all the loose lighting wires, which were vibrating and wearing through the blue paint......luckily I bought a spare car for the shelf!
    FYI, weight distribution on the Losi is 30/70 with a 4200mah slide to the rear, 31/69 slide all the way forward in the battery mount. GNSS only weighs 38 grams......so placement is going to have very little effect in the middle of the chassis😎

    Awesome video Troy and I got to mention one hell of a tire save there I seen that tire go flying off the workbench I was like oh no and then you penned it right up against the workbench with your waist I've seen people use aluminum foil tape you do not have to keep replacing it like the duct tape and you can work with it a little better than the duct tape and trim it to your desired size because it comes on a rule you peel the backing off

    Nice job on your review and preparation of the 22s. I'm considering getting one but don't really do drags much. It's just such a beautiful car and the price is amazing in my opinion. I'm seeing $199 in most of the hobby stores and the 22s comes with the Firma Spectrum 100 amp ESC and 6500kv motor. The body and tires alone are worth $199. I have one but with the Ford truck body.
    Noticed exact same issue with the tires rubbing the truck bed, put stickers over it but will try black tape (probably look good with my black body.
    The back of the truck body doesn’t roll under like the car does so I don’t have that problem.
    I have a GNSS type system with an LED screen that doesn’t fit on the chassis so we had to mount it on the body. Don’t do that, I nearly lost it when I crashed.
    Looks like I’m getting pinions and rebuilding my shocks before racing season!

    I thought the standard practice is to have a bit of air in the shock bodies which lack a reservoir, since air is compressible and you need to account for the space that the shock piston will take up
    back when I used to own a Losi Mini LST, I tried to fill the shocks to the brim and it got pretty ugly, the shocks wouldn't compress at all and then the oil squirted out the seals when you squeezed hard enough

    • @RoadsideRC
      @RoadsideRC  2 роки тому +1

      Not in the shocks I have built. Especially of they have the rubber dampers at the top.

    • @RoadsideRC
      @RoadsideRC  2 роки тому +1

      You just need to test. Go out and make 1-2 passes as it is. Then back it off 1/4-1/2 turn and see what happens.

    I just got around to buying the Losi 22s and the very first thing I noticed is the complete lack of downward travel in the front end ( DROOP ) but all kinds of upward travel. Without the droop in the front end I can't see how it would have any weight transfer. In other words the front tires leave the ground on launch and you basically have no steering for some distance and no squat in the rear . Can you do a video on how to remove the limiters from the shocks. If you put any real car on a lift the suspension will hang down for some degree but this car doesn't. Also if you push down on the front you'll see the car bottoms out. Ride height adjustment seems necessary but I'm not to sure how to adjust it.

  • @craigmolling4156
    @craigmolling4156 6 місяців тому

    Tips are great but I’m wondering are you going to upgrade the suspension? The stock doesn’t allow for travel( squat) on either the front or rear which is what makes a full size car hook. Also the front has to much down travel. If you lift the car in front the wheels go up with it, they should remain touching the ground when the front is picked up and stay down until the lift has reached max height. Also the rear should squat past the point when the wheelie bar has touched, this allows the rear to load and slightly lift the front, transferring all the torque to the back but still keep the car going straight.

    • @RoadsideRC
      @RoadsideRC  6 місяців тому

      Agree 100%! The stock suspension is OK, but certainly not perfect.

    Why would people hate on you for XT90 connectors? They (Along with the XT60) are one of the most popular and effective connectors out there. In fact, if you look at the EC5 and the XT90 side by side, the only difference is the outer case shape. If you cut the thin plastic case away in the middle of the XT90, you literally have an EC5 with the exact round top and flat bottom shape!

    hey troy 😁, can i ask you about the main gear or spur gear of this car ? i got mine losi 22s camaro recently but i striped my main gear(the black plastic big 1 gear ) during the first run, after that i purchase Hot racing gear to replace it, but i notice the gear that i installed is wobble, why did it wobble ? no matter how i take it out or adjust multiple time and it still wobble, i prepare for the worst and go for a test run, surprisingly the car runs fine and i run it for about 30 minutes, is this normal or i just mess something up ? thanks 😊
