All great suggestions! When it comes to teeth, I would add to whiten the teeth as needed. Not an overly bright white but a natural white color. Nothing screams old like a yellow, brown, or grayish colored smile even if the teeth are perfectly straight.
So very true ! Many times , as people age , their medications will alter the color & strength / condition of their teeth . Consult both your doctor & dentist regarding this . 🥰
If you have teeth that were stained from antibiotics when you were a child (like me) no amount of whitening (professional or otherwise) will remove those stains.
@@PerrySkyePhoenixThis is very true and for me, I've lost several teeth due to acid reflux disease and it's not easy coming up with the money to have them fixed.
The teeth-oh my! I had so many problems. Fortunately, my parents had the means to pursue orthodontic treatment for me. I actually had some kind of appliance in my mouth from the time I was 5 until I was 20. I had an excellent dentist who finished out my smile with porcelain veneers. My parents didn’t allow heavy makeup while I lived under their roof, and I distinctly recall getting ready to go somewhere in my late 40’s and I walked out on my patio to discover I had gotten VERY heavy handed. It was truly awful, and I took it all off and started over. At 60, I concentrate on skin care , and a LOVE a red lip, but am very minimalistic with everything else. I do dye my eyebrows, but my friend had hers microbladed, and the base was green after a few months. I chose to stop coloring my hair in 2017, and it was a good decision for me. I own a small horse farm in the American South, so my nails are short, and I keep them shaped and clean. (I actually have very small hands, but they are ugly, so I don’t use polish.) My grandmother took my cousin and me to a week long workshop in New York with Eileen Ford when we were young teens, and though neither of us were “model material,” we were expected to be well groomed at all times. Her money was well spent, and she and my mom saw to it that all three of us (girls) got the best educations they could afford. (The boys were all in the military.)
Absolutely agree with all suggestions. Really enjoy your channels. Teeth are so important for our health and the way we look. A simple inexpensive whitening treatment is to rinse after brushing with 1 tsp baking soda stirred into half a cup of warm water - a tip from my dentist. I've done it for years and it works. As a bonus it also neutralises any harmful bacteria that can cause gum disease. As for ears, heavy earrings will stretch and create lines in earlobes as we get older. Very ageing. I love big hoops & dangly earrings but realised they don't work now that I'm older. I still wear earrings but make sure they're small and lightweight enough not to drag down my earlobes. Large dangling earrings also draw attention to our jawline which may not be desirable if we're showing slackening in this area.
This is another great video, but when you got to the teeth part...I've put off doing some things that I should have done and now is definitely the time. Thank you for giving me that little to push to get things fixed. You are wonderful!
Another great video! It’s like having a friend giving us some great advice! I appreciate how you present your content. On ears, our nose and ears never stop growing.
Loving your channel! Turning 40 has got me thinking about my skin care routine and what needs changing. So grateful to have come across your videos, as I’m learning so much. In my 20s and 30s I was obsessed with Olive Oil and I believe as a result my skin is pretty decent and people think I’m in my 20s, so I’m taking your advice and have been using Castor Oil, can’t wait to see results and growing up gracefully and gradually haha 😂 with love ❤❤
@ my pleasure, keep em coming 🥰 I learning so much, thank you! ❤️ Only been using Castor oil for a couple of days and WOW what a difference, especially to my eye bags, as they are lightening up. 😀❤️🏴❤️
Hi, just started watching your vids, and I'm enoying them. I definitely think 'less is more' as we get older, and I steer clear of anything powdery. I like a bold lip ( usually coral red ) Look forward to your next vid xx
My nan used to say look after your teeth & your feet 👍 they be with you all your life and you need them every day. I say stay clean & tidy ...I don't paint my nails but they are totally clean 👍
This is for my sisters out there: Beauty is all about proportion and harmony in what works FOR you, your own STYLE of beauty, so don't blindly follow everything here. Especially when a lot of what she mentions requires $$$ to pull off. E.g. The earlobe tip mentioned here wearing smaller earrings doesn't apply for everyone because it really depends on your face shape. My 50+yo friend's earlobes are small, and with an unusually large head, huge dangly earrings actually make her look younger than older. If she wore more petite studs, it doesn't look elegant at all, like wearing the wrong size shirt for example.
Many woman's look ridiculous with these eyebrows ratios (or eyeliner). True, the color change with the sun and look easely ridiculous. Only laser treatments can take this ink off. Very expensive and not pleasant at all.
Here's one, avoid bright colours on both lips and eyes, one or the other but choose carefully as bright colours can be ageing, make them sheer. Otherwise it looks so 1980's, the only older woman I think that can carry that effect off is Joan Collins but that's been her look for years.
Had beautiful teeth in my youth, I am now 69 and I can hardly recognise them, problem is, its crazy expensive to them fixed. I was reduced to thinking of dentures but I was advised against it. Not a happy camper. 😢
The last time I went into debenhams and had my make up done by a so called professional I came out looking like I had two black eyes. The young girl was adamant I needed about 5 layers of eyeshadow. At over 50 years old it made me look tired haggard and a bit nuts. I went home quick and took it all off. Never again
I am born in 1964. I started witha teeth treatment, but unfortunately my mother didnt care if i finish the treatment and i was too young to oversee the consequences.. My teeth are really bad looking. But it cost much too much to fix it.
@@Fabulous.Over50 funny story I'm really fair ginger really so black mascara looks silly on me so a friend offers to dye my lashes which means I'm late home from work my husband says where you been and I explain having my lashes dyed and he sulked for a week 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
It’s strange-I can hear other videos clearly, but not yours. Even the commercials before your video play fine. I’ll check on my end, but I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issue.
I had orthodontic treatment after 60 years of age. It was necessary for shifting that occurs with age. It was the most painful 13 months. The end result makes my maintenance hygiene back to normal.
Check all orthodontics treatments are offering graduate payments. Discuss the monthly amount you can paid with them (ex. 100$ or more). Very easy to do and it worth it. At the begining of the treatments, it's more expensive (tests, mouldings, etc). Invest in your teeths, you are going to have them all your life. A beautiful, young and healthy smile worth it!
I buzz cut my thin post menopausal hair. I now have an extensive wig collection. It’s wonderful wearing them.
That’s fabulous to read 🥰✨

The one I’ve mentioned is natural. Salicylic acid is a natural acid.
Can’t seem to get it shipped to Australia… Bummer : )
I have been microblading my eyebrows for years now as I have no eyebrows. Can you suggests what I can do instead of Microblading ?
As long as you have someone you trust that’s all that matters. The alternative if course is pencil in.
