I enjoy watching both you and your wife doing these chanels. I had to laugh at Trey trying to get you to play something else. You know what your listening for when you play. If you get a chance sometime it would be interesting to me and maybe others to hear a backstory of how you learned to play and what music you like to play. Rock on and keep doin what your doin!😊

Dear God!!! The ballsy sound that came when you said "But listen to this!"
    I am a guitarist of 30 years! I love the sound of P90's !!
Whatever Cathy did to the pups jacked them up into Hall Of Fame status!! That sound is sonic excellence!

I bought one of these a few months ago when they were on sale for $85. I was not expecting much...but it is a KILLER guitar. I LOVE the neck and the sound. I think I'm going to order a white one to go with the sunburst I got.

I have an Epiphone LP 2. I gave it to my granddaughter. She loves it! The P90s sound really good. For some reason my hand goes numb playing it, but she loves it. I guess the neck is too thin for me. Since I about tore my fretting arm off, I have to have an old C or U neck. Cathy, those P90s sound great. I guess I am hung up on those humbuckers though. Dang they all sound sound good after you made them. Sean those frets look really good and sound like they should!

Great video! I got the same guitar for about $85 from Target last week. I got REALLY lucky, as mine didn't have anywhere near the issues you had here - no extra holes, straight neck, level frets. These cheap things really are luck of the draw! I got an Indio Tele-style guitar a year or so ago that was absolutely horrible.

I guess they are wound with 43 gauge wire, it's thinner and gives a higher measurement even though there is less copper.

No, my friend, that's POPLAR (pop-lar.) POP-U-LAR means something that's liked by many people. There's a difference! ... Gee, I kinda like the hook shape on the headstock. Hey, some will, some won't care for it. Y'know. ...Yeah, the original equipment pickups were weird and nasty. Cathy's creation of replacement pickups was brilliant. Sounds like it ought to, now! I love finding cheapie POS guitars and makin' 'em good. Y'know? Workin' on a cheap kit Explorer style guitar at the moment, goin' at it with the same philosophy. Got a nice fancy veneer for the ho-hum look of the top, and a change of pickups. The OEM p'ups might be perfectly fine, but I knew I wanted to try a different set right from the jump. And of course, the thing to pay attention to (as you know) is the neck. All aspects. Oh, cool, now I've gotta go watch Cathy's rewinding video!

This is for y'all who feel o'bliged to correct Sean on the spelling/pronounciation of a certain wood used for guitar bodies. So, watch a whole bunch'o Scar videos. I think you will notice that Sean has one heck of a good time playing loosely with the vernacular of............let"s just say the "where" is irrelevant-which happens to rhyme with irreverent. Catching on? Here is another clue. In-toe-nate. And it ain't got nuthin to do with yer foot.
Most of us will not be surprised when SCAR MY GEETAR is the absolute MOST "poplar" show on UA-cam!!!

A few Years ago I found deals on Indio Top o the line Ash body Strat and Tele style. ( 100 - 150 each ) They are copies of 1950s Fenders. Aside from "ugly" not Fender headstock 2 of the best guitars I have ever owned or played. And thats including many vintage Fenders and Gibsons. If they were 50s Fender 10s of k's. 200.00 or so is a better deal for most of us Not rich people.

Nice!! Trey fails to realize that you very well “can” use new riffs, but you probably don’t “want” to learn them, lol. 😂😂😂 We all have our tried and true go-tos, right?!
I saw two people post UA-cam vids with Indio guitars that they paid $33 for on Amazon recently. They seemed pretty thrilled, but neither said if they’d have to do any work. I’m sure they will need similar work. Still, for $33 bucks, heck that’s a great “education guitar.” You know what?! That gives me an idea: companies should regularly sell their rejects at rock bottom on purpose to help people learn how to fix guitars, build partscasters, etc. That’s how they would have to be advertised in the description - that they are guitars requiring work, not immediate players. The companies would lose less money or possibly break even, and guitar players and hobbyists would be thrilled to buy them at prices like that. Maybe you can make that your next business venture and pitch that idea to some of these companies - how many people do you know who would love to buy a guitar for essentially the cost of the electronics, parts, and raw materials to learn how to diagnose issues and make it playable?
Great job on this amazing fixer upper - the pickups are incredible, but more on Cathy’s channel!

Having one of these, the stock pickups aren’t P90’s. They’re not a tall pickup and there’s no bar magnet. They don’t sound bad to me, and they are bigger sounding than a Strat or Tele, but a little less aggressive than I expect P90’s to be. I’m going to replace the pots in mine and then decide if I want to replace the pups.

I have one of these and it feels like a real legit instrument. The tuners are the absolute worst I’ve ever seen. The Indio Boardwalk I have had the same problem. The electronics sounded okay, but in mine one pot is 250k and the other is 500.
