We have been full timing for a year, have covered about 20 states with no health issues . Came home for Thanksgiving and our annual Drs visits and I get Covid! It was just a mild case but was down for a week and missed Thanksgiving! Glad y’all are better, Safe travels

So sorry you were so dick, especially for Thanksgiving! Healthcare is one stress we don't have thank God. We both have tricare from the military and Dustin can also use the VA clinics. Our plan doesn't require referrals for specialty care either which is nice! Sure hope you're on the mend and back to your sunny self soon! 😘

Yes you did not sound good at all at the beginning so glad you went in. I am also prone to the same one time I had pneumonia forever went from one lung then to the other ugh! You sounded so much better at the end when you were outside but then you added the cough at the very end and I was like oh my! Great tips we have a couple more years before thinking about some of this. So Ken from the Roadsmiths owes me a beer from the last game we played Dallas you guys want to do the same bet for Thursday Night game?
Luckily the meds kicked in after we filmed this last week & so much better- about 90% now! But Joel says okay to betting for a beer! He is taking Dallas of course!

Hope you are fully recovered. We are also FMCA members, and FMCAssist is a great program, but I would suggest you review the coverages again, I don't think it covers some of the situations you described. To get extensive travel coverage, Sky Med is the ticket, but that runs about $1k/year.

@@ChasingOurSunshine I stand corrected. Deb was right! Lol. What is also interesting to note is that this benefit costs the FMCA around $70/member/year, while the annual dues are less than that amount. It is a GREAT BENEFIT!
I know an FMCA Member that signed up for Sky Med, because he had an accident on his property and needed a Life Flight, which ended up costing him $15k. The FMCA Program did not cover this because he was at his home.

Thanks for sharing the powerpoint! It is a GREAT benefit for sure! Because of re-reading it we learned more, death benefits, lost of hands or feet and sounds like the time to call is when you are admitted to an emergency room. We are always covered now under this as we are full-timers and always traveling.

Rick is a 100% disabled veteran so his coverage is done. We got Darci on CHAMPVA so her medical and prescriptions are covered. Just got to get her vision and dental.

Is that a decoration on the window seal or a line of "used tissues"? ;-) Good information. We are a few years out from retiring and that is one of our biggest concerns is the healthcare coverage (to bridge the gap until 65).

Great question! Sadly, most Law Enforcement agencies don't offer insurance once retired. Our departments did not offer anything for insurance options. So we had to go out on our own to find it. Thanks- Joel, Deb & 🐕 Maya
