Not necessary, in my opinion, but appreciated. :) She's definitely the centerpiece of the band, and their influences are worn on the sleeve, but I'm definitely a fan. And the "BLEGH" could take the paint off your car. Glad you liked it!
Totally enjoyed this reaction. Yeah, this band really has some SOLID stuff going on. Not overproduced, quite grounded and really fantastic vocals. Completely agree to what you said about this band. Brings me to the following recommendation (that you fer sure have on the list somewhere)... You should really listen to Britta Görtz in her former band Cripper. (Try Animal of Prey official video). Women in Thrash Metal were and are a lot more rare than in Metalcore or Death Metal. She has a very raw sound and an awesome growl. And no melodic vocals. Just raw brutal gutturals. Linzey is amazing! She got her start doing Metal Kitchen. Took recipes and tuned them into Metalcore songs! The pulled pork video is epic lol! But the Anchor is really fantastic. Definitely worth looking into more. Super nice folks too.

She can definitely sing. My only issue was that when I heard this all I could think of was the 10 other emo bands that came out of the 90s and 00s. Not that the band is bad, just that they particularly did not catch my interest. I am a picky bastard though and a tiny bit of an snob. But that said, to the people who enjoy it I am happy for you!
I discovered these guys a few months ago and I've been fkn hooked 🥰 If you want another example of women on the edge, check out Butcher Babies song Igniter. The vocals from Carla and Heidi are brutal af 🤘
Never heard this band before - she's fantastic. Powerful and multi-dimensional, with great tone in both cleans and harshes. But I agree that musically this is kind of run-of-the-mill metalcore. Not bad at all, but not doing anything special either. If you want to hear a fantastic female-fronted metal band with a fantastic vocalist (both harsh and clean vocals) but musically much more interesting, check out the band Seven Spires, led by Adrianne Cowen (who's also done some "how to scream" videos on youtube). Check out their recent single "Architect of Creation"; I think you'll really appreciate it.
At first I thought this was the band Ankor, which being a Swede I unfortunately have a bit of a problem with taking seriously, since it means "ducks" in Swedish. (Kind of like the '80s band Tröjan, which means "the sweater".)
Her vocals are top notch. I do just wish that, like with Lorna Shore and Slaughter to Prevail, that the vocalist was backed by a more interesting, adventurous instrumental part. It was very naughties metalcore, and that barely even interested me then... but there are still tracks being made in the style that i really enjoy. This one was alright 😅 Her vocals though, damn. 👌🏻

She's got a good enough voice, but the music feels incredibly formulaic. Wasn't a fan of emo in the naughties and it hasn't changed much lol. I'm a music over vocals though.

Try some Cerebral Bore if you like female fronted metal bands with brutal vocals.
