Hey guys thank you for your patience it took a long time to set up this fight we needed to be in a certain mood and it takes a long time to edit, but here it is, the Boss fight of the decade. Just keep in mind both of these aircraft are very very classified and everything you see here is just modeled after publicly available information so this by no means represents the true capabilities of these aircraft its really just for fun. Biggest flaw I have noticed is you tend to never use your guns, you had a couple really good gun shots lined up and never capitalized on them, especially in the first and second rounds, it does not seem to be a flaw your opponents possess.

Even though the su57 has a higher caliber than the f22 the f22 has a better firerate and even small damage will cripple the opponents ability to effectively dogfight

There's also a LOT of flat-turning and very little use of the vertical.

for a fair comparison, you gotta swap planes and see if it's the plane or a pilot skill issue... I personally think that he launches his missiles too early and does not maneuver enough. SU57 is fractionally more agile (on the paper anyway) and should be able to get behind F22 if it tries hard enough :) GG

All of the stealth aircraft in DCS are just guesses/approximates of the real thing because all the 5th Gen craft are highly classified and militaries actively hide their specific capabilities.

Oddly enough this brings a smallsword duel to mind for me. Lightning fast but also very elegant, everyone is deadly at the point but only the point and so you need some gap to engage, so they step into the opponent and bind up until somebody makes a tiny split second mistake and the correct angle, at just right distance for a poke but not so far one can evade or parry it opens up, and its instant GG.
I love it. Just amazing how they move in the air like they are being held aloft by invisible hands as they move through the air like that. It is great that there can even be doubt over weather or not you hit some one or not makes it more realistic as well. Very fun, thank you.

When I try this mad chilled out dog fighting, I just spend 2 minutes trying to get away from an Su-33 in my F-14 before I get shot down. I suck! If I don't get shot down, I rip my own wings off trying to move too suddenly.
7:10 I feel like this is a seriously underrated shot. The accurate gunnery, and proximity to the ground makes it such a screamer. But then again, you'd expect no less from Longshot. Great content as always GS.

That's because they do. Incapable of performing to it's maximum due to Humans not being able to happen all those G's for that long.
Then we must wait for lighter and more powerful engines of su57 in 2025 . It means it will reduce 2x weight and increase in power reduce jet heat and radar signature from behind . It will reduce take off time and increase turing rate and angle of attack . That would be epic to watch.

I remember seeing the F22 demos at the air shows I went to ad a kid here at Tyndall AFB and I can still remember how completely in awe I was at it’s maneuverability.. It could do things I’d NEVER seen another aircraft do including the other “modern” jet fighters they would demo for us. The low alt flat spins all the way to the deck before recovering and pulling into the vertical and then accelerating out of sight, just some of the craziest shit you could think of an aircraft being capable of doing.. I miss those air shows man. Tyndall took a direct hit by hurricane Michael as did the rest of Panama City where I live back in 2018 and I keep hearing that if they don’t get a squadron of F 35s then the base and the rebuild effort is gunna be abandoned.. Bums me out to think about that like REALLY bums me out.

My dad was stationed there for 6 years as a kid and I saw many of those air shows! And was in one once! They did an escort of a c-17 globemaster and 4 f-16s and I was in the globemaster with some other kid/parent combos.
I was born there in 1994 ! got to sit the cockpits of the f-117 ! coolest 15 years of my life.
I live in Tallahassee and over the course of the last two weeks there has been significant activity with Raptors paired up flying over the city at least once a day so I assume Tyndall must be back up and running.

there are ejection failure in the game but maybe the pilot blacked out on mid ejection? In the game to eject you need to press ctrl e 3x. Tho in game I only had rare moments where ejections didn't work.
@@vexingrabbit1824 Actually had an ejection malfunction where the canopy didn't go off and I think the seat killed me because it just went straight to black and made the most sickening noise lol, then nothing but blue skies.

I don't really care on which of these two awesome and high tech fighter jets are better. I both like the Raptor and the Pak-Fa. Both of them each has their own strengths and weaknessess. It's all down to pilot skill and knowledge of the aircraft's capabilities.

Exactly, but your aim is key. They will put the metal on the target as long as you aim correctly. Thankfully it’s easy to aim.
They weren't flying to fast & popping flares like dynamite... the 22 would have dominated with guns 4 of the fights for sure and even had a chance in the second with that ghastly overshot & turned starboard dead into the sun.

That thrust vectoring engines and the overall design of the su 57 makes a very dangerously maneuverable aircraft jesus.
hmmm lacks the stealth tho , also with the big tail flaps the f22 can more then keep up with the 33d trust vectoring.
In this it seems 57s maneuverability was crap really. No gains whatsoever.

I noticed today when I dogfight the F14 with the SU33, if I go vertical and come down and drop one on top, they try to eject from the tomcat but the seats malfunction. Canopy flies off but no ejection. Must just be a sweet spot on the plane to cause a system malfunction

Gonna be honest, this didn't really feel like that close of a match despite the score. The times the F22 got hit was due to pilot error/failure to switch to cannons. Very entertaining fight, was super impressed with the SU's vectoring, just seemed more like a showcase of the pilots rather than the planes

Not sure but I think the -57 holds the speed advantage making it impossible to disengage without giving away the fight.

That is an incredibly close fight. I know the aircraft play a part in it but you both are really good at using the the air craft and their abilities. It’s obvious that if a mistake is made the other picks up on it.
