Great video! What fan are you using? I have the CSF radiator and the SPAL 30102049 fan but haven’t installed yet. I’m debating creating a thin shroud to mount the fan but space is a concern. What do you think?
Robert Schafer thank you! It means a lot! Im actually not sure of the brand as I had the electric fan for years! The space is definitely tight but it is possible, I know PS designs makes a “N15 design BMW E46 M3 electric fan mount” if you want to check that out. The main concern of space is really hitting the threads off of the water pump pulley or the AC belt. I did speak to some friends at the track recently and they told me I should actually go back and install a brand new clutch fan as most electric fans don’t spin as fast- I.e clutch fan will spin as fast as your rpm. Another technical note, an electric fan can actually prevent cooling if you’re driving/racing and the air entering the radiator is coming in so fast and the speed of the electric fan spinning is not fast enough to pull it out- it will actually block the air and retain it in the radiator. So on track when I’m racing, I don’t run my fan as the air flow is too fast and cools my car much better but the beauty of an electric fan is off track I can run the fan and cool my car where a normal clutch fan couldn’t or would spin at idle speed.
Jake Aquilina Thank you for the detailed feedback! Correct, the real reason for the electric fan is to cool after going out on track or sitting in hot stop-and-go traffic. The purpose of a fan shroud is to utilize the entire surface area of the radiator for the fan to pull the heat out (that’s typically why some might want to stay with the fan clutch because it works with the stock shroud). I will let you know if I can figure something out. Thanks again and keep the videos coming!
@@robertschafer902 Exactly! I would love to see how it comes out, so keep me posted if you decide to make one! Also will do! I will be doing my best to post videos every week!
@@jakeaquilina mine actually touches the frame I guess I will have to revisit the issue. Planning on moving to Dallas my self Hope there’s some euro enthusiast out there. Coming from NY my self
@@m3stack I dont think it would be a terrible issue as long as the radiator supports are solid and its not going to eventually wear your hose. Plenty of euro enthusiasts out here! Let me know when you make the move! We can go for a cruise sometime
New radiator looks clean! Great video 👍🏽
thank you!! trying to get my videos to look as professional as yours!
atta boy, lets get to it!!

1:27 everythings fucked up lol nice video loved it 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

How is the lower rad hose spacing to the frame ?
Lower radiator hose is definitely pretty tight fit to the frame rail but no issues there.
