My research suggests that the following was played;
George Harrison 12 string = Fadd9/G
John Lennon 6 string = Dsus4
Paul McCartney bass = D
Playing a G7sus4 as a barre chord can get close to this sound on one guitar

I play an FAdd9 with my thumb playing the F note on the Low E in the Bass. Recommend a channel called Ably House they do amazing dead accurate Beatles instrumental covers! I try to play Beatles songs as close as to the actual recording as I possibly can because I love them so much and they use some really unique chords and rhythms. I mainly play John's rhythm but George is amazing too with his ad-lib lines and little fills and licks that I think are vastly underrated and are rarely taught correctly if taught at all. I'm so happy I was born in Liverpool and live about 10 minutes away. All you hear is Beatles songs AKA proper music! Great video Andy👍
It's impossible not to sing Its been a hard day's night everytime I hear that chord, which was about 50 times on this video alone.
Great lesson! I always wanted to play this song. My Requests for more Beatles songs: a day in the life, we can work it out, drive my car, I feel fine, all my loving. Thank you for your videos. They really help me improving my guitar playing. 🙏
Have never owned a 12 string but I imagine they'd be a pain to restring! Nice tutorial 👍
They're a pain to tune, nevermind re-string!
@@andycrowley I will be launching a UA-cam channel devoted to the 12 string guitar on 01/01/2021 It will cover tuning and playing styles. In fact I will be covering this song. Check it out.
Great video Andy,great song.✌✌✌
can you do a whole tutorial with your 12 string sometime?
Of course! Just trying to keep it accessible by demoing the song with both :)

I've always looked at it as an F chord with a G chord underneath it, while the G7sus4 (or G11) is just the opposite. Which is why they both work.
Absolutely! 😁🎸
Thank you andy...
you are the great
Any chance you could do Will We Talk by Sam Fender on electric? It would be great to see an electric tutorial in both normal tuning and the C# that he uses
Will see what I can do!
@@andycrowley yes please do!
Andy Guitar brilliant, thanks!
Hey Andy can you please do the long and winding road?
Could you do a tutorial for Epic I, II, and III from Hadestown?
peliculas completas en espaol
Piano in original too.
Was there a 'No one knows' acoustic tutorial or am I just making things up?

Can u reply
Hey :)
@@andycrowley u are amazing
You're too kind! All the best ✌
@@andycrowley thanks u are one of my favourites
There's no evidence that Lennon played a Dsus. Not a single film of them playing it live shows him playing anything other than the same FaddG that George plays... OTOH there is a piano from George Martin that plays something like it
