You can buy the intrepid and upgrade (CCU) to the guardian: it will be much cheaper and it will have LTI: it will save you around 40 dollars/euro depending on where you live (Tax). Chain the Intrepid warbond -> Hornet mk2 ghost or tracker -> Terrapin medical -> and THEN the Guardian, costing you $185/$195 instead of $230/$240 for the Guardian or Guardian QI warbond.
@@Spacepollo7548 Darn, yeah people tend to forget that this is an option : if you still want to pledge new money you could still follow this instruction but your first ship will need to be bought with real money to get the LTI: also when they offer a new lti ship that is cheap you will still be able to use the same technique: Sorry you missed out!
In regards to the IAE 10 year insurance vs the current 6 month insurance, you could use credit to get the variant you want now and then melt it when Fleet Week or IAE roll around to reuse the credits to get those 10 year insurance versions.
Its actually less maneuverable than a Vanguard Sentinel/Warden. Has the same pitch/yaw/roll as the F8C. And the power management is an actual nightmare. I still bought it and am happy with it. Certainly isn't going to be getting complaints about it being OP though
I like it...but I'm probably going to make it an in-game goal. As a player that is typically either solo or playing with one other friend, I really like it's amenities, the QT range, and S5's, but it's relative lack of shields paired with heavy fighter maneuverability make it more vulnerable to light/medium fighters than I'm comfortable with. That, and I'm also feeling like I've thrown too much money at CIG between my upgraded-to-C1 game package, F7A Mk2, and Ironclad despite personal concerns with the direction of the game...but that could change if I see some real cool UA-cam videos of this thing in action over the next couple of weeks.
I got the base version, I'll just upgrade for ten bucks if I feel it would be useful I guess. Just feel like the QI must have hidden downsides or will be nerfed
Went with the QI. Only difference is the dampener and a very slight flight performance hit. And you can turn off that dampener at any time if you want to drop those power pips elsewhere. So in the end, the QI is simply the more versatile option.
I feel like it should have been more of a penalty (i.e. sacrificing missiles) because it's kinda a no brainer to get the QI unless you care about 3 deg/s turn speed.
@@skorne7682 Well, the base model DOES have a much nicer paint, lol. But seriously, if someone never ever plans on doing PVP, he doesn't need the dampener. At that point, may as well get the cheaper more agile version. I'm not a PVP player myself, but I went with the Qi simply because I wish to keep that window of opportunity open.
Very hard call, Sentinel, and warden, I think they have better shield, but the guardian has more HP. I like the versatility of the four size 2s on the sentinel and warden plus I like the ramp on the warden knowing I can put a cargo box or two inside plus a pulse. The speed and handling of both vanguards and guardians are very close to the same. I don’t care for the lighting in the guardian. I’m gonna have to give it a serious look. Truthfully, I think the questions I have or can I get a pulse inside the guardian and can I stick some SCU in there as well?
@ I also think it’s interesting that the Vanguard Sentinel has the electronic warfare in the vanguard line but it handles better and is faster with less armor then the Warden. And then the Guardian Q is slower and doesn’t handle as well as the standard Guardian and they both have the same HP. Kind of a flip flop on the rule there. But it’s sci-fi. So loose with rules can be creatively explained away.
What is the range of the Quandum Dampener? Where can we find this information? Can you give us a link to a web page that details the range / radius of the Quantum Dampener?
It'll be a money sink if / when the game comes out. If you have lifetime then you don't have to keep spending money renewing insurance. That's the thought anyway. How it actually plays out who knows.
The QI the ONLY difference is a different defult missile arangement and a slightly slower speed. as well as the QT dampener. other then that its the same ship! might as well pay the extra 20 bucks and get the better ship :)
@@Wayne72LEVRAI on Urkel it shows only a difference of 03 lower for pitch/yew/roll on the the base guardian. I have yet to fly the QI I bought. but I watched a fellow ORG mates stream while I was updating and waiting to get past the Que last night. and he said he does not feel a real difference between the 2, and hes the Ace dogfighter amonst us. and yes missiles suck, they never connect. like ever, and when they do. the damage is neglagable. seems only torps are able to do damage :(
Considering the current and pretty much every past iteration of missiles I would take the one with the interdictor… missiles range from useless to useful but not worth the price. They’re not worth using and the new missile prices make that worse.
@ it’s not that significant of a difference at least in the current flight model it’s quick enough to keep any of its likely targets in front of you in the gun sights
I wish they'd put some time into taking this dampener tech and fixing it on the saber raven. Edit: I really wish QD were swap able with an EMP unit. That'd be epic.
after i had a chance to use the gradian i would say dont get this trash... its agile but lower average for its size. its alpha damage is good-ISH but you can get much more DPS from a ship with 4 size 4s its shielding is poor for its cross section. its cross section makes it hard to be missed by enemy. the only thing i see is that the QI ship has a above average speed and Gs... but not enough Gs to avoid fire... i think its design is to hold a ship just to try live long enough to get the ORG on target... this ship is losing 1v1 to other ships its size like the sentinel, it will likely lose to the zeus mr paladin the. its a good fight for the black you should avoid!
$230 for a video game ship for a game that is not even out yet and has no projected release date> "That's a good deal." Star citizen has broken our brains.
It’s not for the ship it’s to find the project you agree to this multiple times every time you make a purchase they don’t have a publisher giving them money we are the publisher giving them money
Been a backer since 2012, fully agree with you about this. How can we be happy like and justify spending the amounts of money we or mist of us have on a product that's not fully released yet and even if it was. Lol, what's wrong with us lol.
I wasn't trying to criticize you at all. Just to point out the silliness. I often look at my fleet and shake my head. Like oh that starlancer. I could have bought something like bg3 for myself AND a group of friends and we could be playing it now but no no I NEED that ship. Hehe

I am amazed that this heavy long range dedicated fighter has more amenities then the cutty xD
Yes the cutty needs a gold standard pass already
I'm not sure if you noticed but you can enter and exit the ship directly from the pilot seat. You do not have to go through the entire ship to exit.
Yeah this ship actually has a few more cool additions that I missed, like the exterior storage and weapon rack :)
I got both just for the reason that i hate claim timers during events. I like to put a parked backup ship so i can rotate if i get shot down.
Just found you and you answered my questions I had about the ship difference thank you keep up the great work
