God ordains evil which is done by the freewill of sinners to fulfill His good and perfect will. Consider Jacobs brothers selling him into slavery, his brothers did evil by their will, but God planed and ordained for thier actions to bring about something good. Genisis 50: 18-20 18His brothers also came and fell down before him and said, “Behold, we are your servants.”19But Joseph said to them, “Do not fear, for am I in the place of God?20As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today. You see how God meant it for good, He didn't just fix it to turn out good, He had a plan for it from the beginning.
The passage is not saying God caused the brothers to sell Joseph into slavery, it is showing how God used it to fulfill his plan. He could have gotten Joseph to Egypt in another way. But even if God did intervene and cause the brothers to sell him, it does not follow that God therefore plans all sins that take place.
@@jcthomas3408 The passages says that God meant the event to take place for good, meant meaning planed, intended. It is errelevent how God could have gotten him to Egypt. Show me from Scripture where you think God is not sovereign over every sin and we'll go from there.
@@innerfire8937 The verse does not say God planned it from the beginning, He took what the brothers did, and used it to bring about His own purpose (keeping many alive during the famine). But again, if you want to interpret it that God planned for the brothers to deceive, etc., it still does not prove that God plans all evil to happen. God is definitely sovereign, but that does not mean he decrees all things (show me that he decrees all things including sin from the Bible!). Sovereign means King. Not puppet master. He has ultimate power, but chooses to allow us the choice to follow him or not while on this earth. God is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish (2Peter 3:9). Does he have to wait? No, he chooses to wait and give us opportunity to follow him.
@@jcthomas3408 Why do you interpret the verse that way? Proverbs 16:4, 16:9. Habakkuk 1:5-11. Romans 8:29. The God's plan for salvation was from before the foundation of the earth was laid, which involved the most heinous sin in history. Who is "us ward"? Are nonbelievers part of us?

Not Jacob, Joseph. Lol.
