Hey Victoria, I recently got a new white, long-haired, male Syrian hamster. While I’ve been letting him settle in his new cage, I’ve become to notice he urinates on his cork on the wheel I have for him. Would you recommend to keep buying cork to replace or buy a wheel that doesn’t have cork and wipe it and clean it every so often. I’m concerned since he’s long-haired and that he’ll get dirty on his coat from the urine. Please advise. Also I hope your hamsters and your other pets enjoyed their gifts! ❤❤
It's whatever you'd like to do! You can keep replacing the cork but most people with wheel peers eventually just switch to something easier and less costly to clean!
No, there is no limit for how much a hamster runs in its wheel. Your hamster will stop when it gets to tired. In one of her videos she said that hamster can travel up to 5 miles per night so it’s nothing to worry about. I hope I helped:)

Hi Victoria, i know you probably won’t see this but i just wanted to thank you for your videos (and ask you a question about hamster care) as they have helped me learn and grow as a hamster owner and give my pets a good life. I got my first hamster aged 6 and didn’t know how to take proper care of him, he lived for 2 years but i didn’t treat him as well as i should have, as i was a child and my parents were pretty lax pet owners (I’ve helped educate them with the knowledge i have gained from these videos). Since my first hammy i have had a hamster continuously since then, so that comes up to 7 hamsters. With my last hamster, who sadly died in November, i was mature enough to get him the biggest possible cage i could at the time and treat him with healthy treats occasionally, and i tamed him using your tips and he was very calm and sweet. Probably my favourite little boy. Today is christmas and i got gifted a hamster, and a huge 3 story wooden/glass enclosure. I just know that i will take the best care of him that i can with the knowledge i have from these videos. I wanted to ask, since I’m going to be away at university after the holidays, what’s the best option for me? Should i take him with me in a smaller cage, or visit him as often as i can (which is about 4 days out of the week in total)?
I don’t think you should take him with you in a smaller cage. The unnecessary travel would likely be stressful to him and depending on how small the cage is, that would be stressful too.
I also have a tiny stocking for my hamster but the problem is that she wants to take the whole thing back to here burrow but I can't let her because it's made of fabric. Hamsters and fabric don't get along well

A few years ago, I got a winter white dwarf hamster, and I can’t count the amount of mistakes I was making. After a few months of having the winter white I discovered your channel, and I changed everything. My dad and I built him a 2x4 cage and I fixed all the mistakes and gave him a proper diet and proper enrichment. Now, thanks to you, I got to start out my Syrian’s care the right way right off the bat. All this to say, thank you so much. I hope u have a great Christmas, you really deserve it 🫶

So my hamster that I’ve talked to you about with the bump on his head it got bigger and it’s becoming like red at the top witch means I think it’s a cyst or a abscess but I don’t know it kind scared me and I have a appointment with the vet and he is 3 and half years old so he’s kinda a zombie lol but I don’t know and I don’t want him to die before he goes the the vet

I also have two cats I used to have two Guinea pigs and two hamsters, but I lost them all last summer. I can no longer afford to have any flurries except my cats, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to steal your hamsters (especially since one is my namesake {Penny}). I would build a bin cage for your hamster. Its super easy and cheap. I literally just build my hamster a bin cage yesterday. She has a video on how to make one. I also have a UA-cam channel and I have a video on how to make one too:) Hope this helped!
Would it be safe to connect two bin cages 800+ square inches with PVC piping that is food grade and 4 inches wide? Would this add to total floor space? I would add a wheel, water, and sand bath to both cages. Planning on putting in a hybrid dwarf. Thanks!

When I got her I looked at your videos and they helped so much. Wee have three rabbits at the moment & a cat. One of our rabbits are half lion head. We adopted her maybe a month ago or so. We hope to bond her with our rabbits when she is Spayed. This video is sooo cute. ♡. You have a mini farm. ♡
