Formula to calculate impedance: 1.Measure the resistance(R) of coils(phase to phase) 2.Feed AC voltage (V), 50 Hz to coils and measure the current(I) 3.Calculate impedance of the coils Z=V/I For example, If the voltage across the coil is 230v ac and the current through the coil is 10A, Impedance, Z= 230/10 = 23 ohm.
