You for got to grease the front ball joint! Everyone one misses them! Like the ones on the upper and lower steering post are missed too! And the ujoint by recoil!
Good point. I realized after I made the video that there were a lot more I didn't talk about. I was just trying to cover the main points that wear the most.
I have an 08 sportsman 800 AWD works on reverse but not forward. Speedo works. Have batt. Voltage on all wires/good grounds. I've done research on a possible Sprague being an issue. Do you have any input? I will PayPal you for your time thank you. Also I'm almost ready to pull front diff to inspect. I've heard the Sprague is plastic and there is an aluminum upgrade
I've heard the plastic ones are junk and go out. I've been hearing the metal cage holds up better. I haven't rebuilt a front diff. Only replaced them. Have you tried adjusting the shift linkage at all? I can't remember if that year was adjustable. If so, try adjusting it more do the drive side. Does the shift indicator work well? Sometimes if it does not know it's in drive the 4x4 won't engage. Hard for me to diagnose without looking at it.
