It is Christ Church, Barbados. Christchurch is in New Zealand. Just that small point lol. Good video btw. Sargassum seaweed is such a pain but we bear with it. Most beaches usually have people cleaning them up but it is still so much at times.
Some houses were elevated for drainage but mostly it would mean that the occupiers are leasing the land. After even purchasing the plot on which your house stood it could take a few years before you were able to alter the house, and that also involved surveys and getting planning permission. If you are happy some lease their whole lifetime while their children grow up and move on and "upward". You could check out the Barbados Museum on Chattle Houses, a throwback to Emancipation type housing. Most of such land now is owned by Barbadians, e.g. some abroad/overseas but not wanting to sell the land their parents worked so hard for.
Sorry you had to run into to sargassum seaweed. It’s the pollution from South and North America. That is something we never had or saw in such quantity. I just went to the Virgin Islands and they’re experiencing the same issues for the last 3yrs😩
Love your videos Barbados 🇧🇧 is my favorite place on earth love seeing my favorite places and the birds chirping
Thank you 😊
I am enjoying these videos because you are trying to learn the culture and not just show off that you travel.
Lots of joy on these videos.

No other kind compares to fresh coconut water straight from the coconut, I miss it so much. Totally loved it that you wanted more
Why don't you eat the jelly inside of the coconut, that's also yummy 😊😊
I liked your movie. Thanks for sharing.😊

Yeah, it was sad to see the sargassum infestation. However, the beaches in St. Peter around Speightstown were crystal clear
You got that wrong.. it ain't from north or south America ever heard of sargassum sea... just Google it..
