Welcome to Miles on Vans about section, where you’ll learn more about me and what my channel is about.
In 2008, I moved to Europe from Nigeria for studies. Fast Forward today, I speak 5 different languages and currently reside permanently in Europe.
I was born in the countryside and have a huge interest in seeing the countryside of other countries.
In 2018, I visited 6 countries, including Japan and the UK. One week after my trip, Google sent me a wrap up of how many Miles I covered around the globe in 2018, so that got me the name “Miles”. And Vans are all the types of vehicles involved in moving around, including vans shoes, so Miles on Vans.

Join me on this unforgettable journey to Värska, a charming village nestled on the border of Estonia and Russia. I explored the picturesque old village houses, soak in the tranquil atmosphere, and learned about the mother source creek with fresh water. Experience the beauty and simplicity...

So I hot the streets to find out for myself. Are you American? let me know in the comment section about what you think that makes your country great.
Would you live in the Cemetery ?

I went to North Manila Cemetery where a lot of less privileged call home. The idea was to talk to people, understand their struggles and perhaps do some charity, but my visit was cut short by a local gang leader who did not like the idea of his territory being filmed.

Philippines is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful countries I've visited. This time, we went hiking in the mountains and got invited to Cebu style break fast of tune and sticky rice. I also tried Balut for the first time. Balut is a fertilized duck egg embryo, as nasty as it sounds, it did not taste any different from a regular boiled chicken egg with a bit of chewiness to it. It’s great to see you on the road again @MilesOnVans. I’ve never heard of this Estonian Island, it looks nice, green and very peaceful. Friendly people also👌🏻😉
Thanks a lot brother for watching. I’m back on track after a long break. Stay tuned 😎
Thats NOT Canberra. They ripped it all down and rebuild it with sterile buildings and giant malls. It's Canberra is name ONLY. Great video, man. There was life back in the 80's/ 90's but not anymore. All the interesting ppl moved. I'm in Sydney now. They ripped Sydney apart as well..."Progress".
So, how was Canberra before ?
@@MilesOnVans For me (I played in bands) it had a vibrant arts community. Writers, musos, theatre, drama workshops. It had a great youth cafe, Uni bar for bands, many band venues, clubs. Very healthy band scene, lots of 'punk' bands/ culture despite it being well after 1977...Great community spirit (and radio station 2XX) Market stall days every Saturday. Great music (I managed a vinyl and tape shop) shops and other alternative shops. Now it's all gentrified...as is the way of most places, sadly. Including Sydney. I live in the heritage (The Rocks) area of Sydney but it's slowly going that way too. Ppl used to say "don't live in Canberra, it's boring !" But at that time, it was a thriving, creative, friendly town. I had an absolute ball there between 1979 and 1996. Met some amazing ppl. Your video and commentary is very well done. Thanks.
wow! so detailed! from your words I could easily picture how vibrant it was back in the years. Sadly, the so called civilisation brings about its negatives too, and that’s the part that generations have to bitterly deal with. Thank you for your feedback on the video, well appreciated 🙏
@ Oh, thanks. It was a bit meandering. I’ve been looking at a lot of different videos of Canberra, then and now. It depresses me, I should stop 😂 I grew up on the Gold Coast, Collangatta/ Tweed Head. Same story there. It’s all gone ! My high school was exactly the same, however but was about to undergo renovations. Thanks for your kind words. I need to accept that this is the way we do things in Australia. 👍✌️💫
You’re most welcome and I appreciate the time you took to watch and comment
your adio is very bad, would listen but can barely hear you.
It’s been fixed, thanks for watching
Thank you.
It needs to be named after Saint Ivan Rilski. Not named after a foreign king.
👍
Km 4-5 is the best place to stay 🙌 only busy and open in the summer , but i actually enjoy the peace and quiet during the low season
Thanks for watching
I live in La Manga del Mar Menor and very close to where he is filming everything and the problem with La Manga is that you have to film it during the beach season, that is, in the summer and you will see that there is no room for a car even in the streets and bars. , crowded hotels and many people in the streets and markets, this tourist place is second homes that Dutch and Spanish Germans buy for the summer and has many hotels that are open all year round and many workers live here.
True, the video was more of a sarcasm. Thanks for watching 👀
When are you coming to orlu again?
No idea
@@MilesOnVans no forget home oo
Old eastern region wasn’t landlocked but taking bayalse and river state away made it impossible for us to leave the federation, it’s just politics but we’ve the biggest river in Nigeria, we just don’t have ocean 👍🏾
Are you from Orlu?
Thanks for the video. Your good filming saved me a trip to visit this hotel.A cool place indeed, some years back I took pictures of it from the car. Little did I know it was abandoned.
I’m glad the video helped you. Safe travels and thanks for watching ✌️
Good stuff Miles!!
Thanks buddy! where are the videos from Vietnam?
This area Its like a zona colonial on dominican republic, its very beautiful.
Thanks for watching
Beautiful and clear review 👍

Nice to see these small villages, not many people show this stuff. great work and good luck with the water!
Thank you very much! still waiting for your Vietnam series.
How did you learn russian ?
I studied and learned it, same as many other languages.
Hi Miles, welcome back! Thank you for showing us less visited places 😊 It seems so peaceful and quiet village. Beautiful scenery also. It makes me wonder how many people live in that village.
Thank you 😎

My pleasure 😊
Greetings! It's possible that because of the nice video jobs you did of Barbados that many Africans like making videos of Barbados. Best wishes always. Btw! I like this video , it's making me laugh
Wow, thank you Richard brother. Good to see you here. I saw a couple of videos emerge as I finished filming there. Good to know that.
Keep good and enjoy this Easter weekend
I am an American and I bought a condo in Comfort Town 6 years ago.; I have not been sorry even with the war and even though Comfort Town has been hit by a drone. But Ukraine is no place for someone who does not look Ukrainian anymore. It has been 2 years since I saw someone who was not white or white-mixed-Asian in Ukraine. It is still OK to be an American in Ukraine although that is going to change after Biden stabs Ukraine in the back to get re-elected. But everyone knows that all of Africa is on Russia's side in this war so if your accent is not American you will be assumed to be a spy or terrorist. There was an Iranian family here too, hiding from the Iranian government, but they disappeared almost 2 years ago. Come back after the war is over but you don't belong here now unless your loyalty is to Ukraine and strangers do not know that you are not Ukrainian. I have a channel, check it out.
Interesting narrative here. However, what then happens to American expat in Ukraine (If Biden) eventually stabs Ukraine in the back? Ukraine has long since been tolerant to Blacks and Asians, as these groups contribute little or nothing to their political agenda or outcome.
@@MilesOnVans Actually Biden already stabbed Ukraine in the back. He could have agreed to money for the border and Ukraine would have gotten the 61 billion but he did not care enough about Ukraine to do so. As to what will happen to expats in Ukraine, the border to Poland may be very difficult but the border to Hungary is still open. One month in Europe before returning is no big deal,
I come here cus I have a friend from Barbados
