We really need a Movie about Kentaro Miura’s life. I can guarantee you that everyone has consumed SOME form of Berserk in their life. Things like Dragons Dogma and Dark souls, in the movie Brightburn the director admitted the logo is based on the brand of the sacrifice, it really created and kick started a world of dark fantasy and monstrous beasts. Before Kentaro began berserk he worked with Jyoji Morikawa, creator of Hajime No Ippo. Jyoji even admitted that for Miuras age his art skills were far beyond his, he saw Miura’s sketchbook and asked Miura about his drawings, and he had thousands of drawings of a man with a mechanical arm and a piece of iron too big to be called a sword. Miura said that when he felt he was ready he would show the world his creation. sounds like it would do amazing as a movie. He had the idea of Berserk since he was 18, maybe even younger, and he carried that all the way through to his death. I know I keep repeating myself but I REALLY want a movie about his life detailing his childhood, how he thought of berserk, how he breathed life into the world of midland, how he influenced entertainment media permanently. A movie sort of similar to “Saving Mr.Banks” “The Man Who Invented Christmas” “The founder” “Apollo 13” or “Tolkien”, all of those are really good narrative movies about the journey these influential people had on the world. There are very few manga nowadays that have a story that are either on par, or surpassing the art itself. Berserks story has enough substance as a stand-alone novel, and his art speaks for itself. Berserk is a modern masterpiece. Rip Kentaro Miura
Berserk pushed the bar so hard when it first came out. The main character is literally a Male SA survivor and was literally born in guts. To say that berserk is terrifying is an understatement. But berserk also is a look into humans and trauma and how people deal with it. Guts despite all that happened never turned against his ideals and always pushed himself back up even in the worst of situations. Griffith instead was broken by his and turned against everything he stood for all for what he believed was the greater good despite all the bloodshed it would take to get it. Miura really put his heart and soul into it and created something that isn't just unique but something that pushed the bar and in my opinion becomes something more than just a manga. There's a lot of violent manga but berserks violence has a reason and uses the horrible situations and actions of people to tell a story. All that to say thank you miura for everything.
Honestly i felt the quality dropped during the Millennium Falcon arc, it is still good but the black swordsman + golden age + conviction are a fuckin 11/10

Thank you Miura for delivering us this masterpiece, may you rest in piece, and thank you The Masked Man for putting in the effort to honor him and his work like this.
Seems like the appropriate place to talk about my story regarding Berserk although I'll try make it as short as I can. I only got into it this year after losing a close friend who was a huge fan of the series. I ended up falling into a really dark place in my life and was constantly contemplating suicide. I decided to give the series a try starting with the 97 anime back in March since I heard it was a decent place to start. I then ended up taking deluxe editions 1 and 2 out of the library and read them super quickly over the course of a weekend. 3 was also available and I ended up taking it out a month later as well (was pretty busy with school so I didn't take it out immediately). I finished Deluxe 3 the week of May 9th and then read the rest of berserk online starting from Wednesday to Saturday. I was literally spending hours during those days pouring through the fantastic story unlike anything I had ever read before. Once I was done I had a sense of sadness but I was excited to see what being on hiatus with everyone else would be like. My birthday then happened the next week on the 18th and it was alright. However late the night of the 19th the news broke about Miura's death and I was completely broken over about it literally crying for a couple hours and unable to fall asleep for most of the night. I've still been crying over it because it definitely helped pull me out of a hole I was stuck in and motivate me to start making changes in my life. I can't even imagine what this must have been like for people that had been fans of the series since the 90s.
@@TheMaskedMan Thanks man. At the end of the day it's just another step in the journey that we must overcome. We can't dwell on this forever, Miura would've never wanted us to.
2 Timothy 1 control. 8So do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, or of me, His prisoner. Instead, join me in suffering for the gospel by the power of God. 9He has saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works, but by His own purpose and by the grace He granted us in Christ Jesus before time began.b 10And now He has revealed this grace through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has abolished death and illuminated the way to life and immortality through the gospel, 11to which I was appointed as a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher. 12For this reason, even though I suffer as I do, I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Himc for that day. 6:12
The narration, the visuals, the music… to say that I got chills multiple times during this video is an understatement. Masterfully made, a more than worthy tribute to a legend that shall never be forgotten. Thank you, Kentaro Miura.
I've never really cried when a celebrity or creator has passed. But when Miura San passed I actually knelt and cried. The amount of inspiration he has given me, saving me from suicide more than once and much more. Thank you Miura San, I'm a better man because of you and I'm able to give goodness to others now.
This Story hit me when I was 15, a few years after playing the Dreamcast game Sword of the Berserk: Guts' Rage and then catching the Anime. I've followed and eagerly awaited every chapter and while waiting for the last chapter.. I find out my favourite artist/author died on my birthday of last year... Hit pretty hard, like it did with many. And then, the final Muira chapter came out and just doubled down on it.
When i discover the notice of kentarou miura passing i felt (and im still feeling) a great sense of lost, berserk has been for me since 2007 one of the most important properties that has define me as a person, even if still continues it will not be the same without Miura. Im sad because i will never be able to experience the full and finished masterpiece from master miura, but whats even worst is knowing that one of the things that bringed most joy on my life bringed miura to his end by some degree, the life of a mangaka is truly a nightmare, but miura gave his all in every single chapter and for that im very thankfull, to have been able to enjoy the world, characters and specially a master of his craft just doing what he loved. Miura was berserk, thats without a doubt , but if it continues i really hope Studio GAGA give at least 100% of the effort to be able to deliver a good conclusion to master miura magnum opus, but thats just stretching to much, im happy with what we got this far. Thanks Kentarou Miura for everything.

Amazing. Currently I am giving berserk a read again. Its been 3 years since I read it for the first time, and reading it again, just makes me appreciate it so much more. Berserk is a manga you can always read and find something new and meaningful to enrich your life. Having grown up and matured in those 3 years I can say so many of the themes in it just hit a lot harder, and that is not even talking about recent Miura's passing. truly a one of a kind masterpiece that changed many lives. One that told us how dark the world actually is, and didn't try to sugar coat it. It didn't try to give us a false hope about the world, but instead gave us courage to live in it. it will surely go down as a great piece of literature in the future.

Such a great tribute to Miura and Berserk itself, its incredible what u have done here. May he rest in Peace.
Recently started rewatching the anime and I plan to move to the manga to see everything I have missed. (Have never read it super excited) I am an avid Dark Souls fan and as soon as I learned that Demon Souls was inspired by Berserk I had to watch. The older series was one of my first anime's and it set me on the path of watching more and broadening the genres I enjoyed. It was a big hit to learn Kentaro Miura had passed because it felt like he had inspired a lot of things I enjoyed over the years. Once I finish Berserk 2017 I am sure I will binge the rest of the manga start to finish to soak in the glory of his masterpiece. I feel like its the least I can do for someone and something that has impacted my life so much and theres no way I'm not going to enjoy every second of it. R.I.P.

Damn I got 50 chapter left and sad I didn’t take my time to enjoy every panel.

I just completed The Eclipse and now I can clearly see why People call Berserk as one of the greatest manga of all time.
Excited for the next arc
Yeah I also finished eclipse yesterday too and and I totally get it why everyone keep calling this manga an 11/10
Currently reading the Millennium Falcon arc, i can't believe i didn't start reading this series sooner.
Honestly i felt the quality dropped during the Millennium Falcon arc, it is still good but the black swordsman + golden age + conviction are a fuckin 11/10
i recommend listening to the ost while reading :)
@@Bojoschannel be patient struggler, the part where Guts and the crew sailing to the elf island is really worth it,but I've read all the chapter now I'm sad that maybe next chapter will never be released😭
Berserk has helped me reflect on my life and always saves me when im at rock bottom. It has made me realize that I have to face my mental health problems head on, to quote guts "there's no paradise.... for you to escape to", that quote made me realize a lot about my life. Thank you Miura.
I had heard Berserk was amazing but I always put it off to read another day. When the news broke of Miura's passing, I felt it was time to read it. Finished it in two weeks. Berserk is a masterpiece. I don't know what else to say. #RIPMiura
Haven’t even finished the video but I know this is gonna be heat
Berserk is without a doubt my favorite manga of all time and with each reread, each time I dive into analysis of it I only find myself enjoying it more. Thank you Miura for delivering us this masterpiece, may you rest in piece, and thank you The Masked Man for putting in the effort to honor him and his work like this.
This whole documentary is absolutely incredible
Thank you, Kentaro Miura
I can't even imagine what this must have been like for people that had been fans of the series since the 90s.
much love bro. struggle onward
@@TheMaskedMan Thanks man. At the end of the day it's just another step in the journey that we must overcome. We can't dwell on this forever, Miura would've never wanted us to.

"Finished" the manga today, its was an absolutely mesmerising journey and I’m glad got to experience it.
#ThankYouMiura
I love the Dark Souls OST in the background, great choice :)

Remember how everyone always bugged him and made jokes about hiatuses? I suppose this final hiatus is what we deserve, causality at it's finest. Rest in peace Miura, you genius and beautiful soul.
Also, thank you for putting out this great video, I'm sure Miura would've appreciated it.
I never expected to cry with a Berserk video . Your ending really just ... i dont know . It spoke to me I think . I have been struggling with MANY things since 2020 . 3 family deaths , a chronic health condition that changed my life that affects my brain , a horrible work life balance , just so much but your ending will stick with me I think . No matter if I live to be old af , or die next year form complications , I just want to be happy in life , and I have been ignoring myself for way too long .

Absolutely Bloody Brilliant Documentary. Applause.
This is your most ambitious project yet, love how it turned out
Rest in peace to the legendary Kentaro Miura

Hey Masked! I'm truly devastated that Miura has passed away so much so that I felt depressed for weeks I want let you know I'm so glad that in the last 2 years you've put out such great Berserk content and for other manga too I think this is your best video you've ever produced and I want to thank you and all other Berserk fans for preserving, enduring and contending with Miura's legacy. I've been around on this channel long enough to see how passionate you are and I hope you will continue that way forward, all the best man. Thank you Miura for creating one of the best written works of all time, and also thanks Masked for creating this 1 hour documentary on Berserk
I already liked this because I know it's going to be epic!
Such a great tribute to Miura and Berserk itself, its incredible what u have done here.
It also reminds me of the many tributes given to him by gamers, like the Dark knight(a class inspired by berserk) tribute in Final Fantasy 14 done by players with bards playing the Guts theme. truly moves the soul.
Make sure to read from the beginning of Berserk

I started reading berserk when I was 13, I'm 24 now, had to read it over n over again to understand things, and there re still many I have to catch up. I wish more readers could have this experience, because I felt deeply the time along with the plot, and mostly Guts, who begun as a young boy. I saw many bad comments about Miura and the end of berserk in other videos. *Berserk is not a story to be ended*. Its a story that ended changing you :)

What an amazingly well thought out piece this is. I've watched Berserk from beginning to end several times but you shed some light on a few things I had never quite realized. I really hope that they leave the series unfinished as I don't think anyone could handle it as well as Miura would have if he were still with us.
