Thanks mate. I'm new to solar. I had an error 475. After watching your video I found a junction box full of water.
After draining and drying the code is gone. I'll now fix where it's getting in.
    I owe you a beer.

Hey mate. You ever end up figuring out what happened to this system? I’ve got a Fronius that’s throwing the same 475 on one of the two strings going into it. Seems to happen late in the evenings or early in the mornings. More likely to happen during wetter times. Went up and visually inspected everything can’t see anything wrong.

Ongoing warranty claim with QCells, I am certain its an earth fault due to water ingress on mc4 plugs due to being exposed to weather. Yours sounds very similar!

@@joondalupelectricalservice3201 Cheers for the reply. Was the damage obvious? Mine are JA Solar M60S20 panels.

@@A_P_X no it wasnt, I had to test the strings with a high voltage tester.

I hate when they put the jumpers (or fly leads as you say) behind the cam. I also hate when they use steel zip ties to tie down the DC cabling.

steel zips are code here - plastic hair ties will not last the lifetime of the installation.

@@asedcopf yeah we use black plastic clips that will last a life time. The steel zip ties will rub and eventually cause an earth fault. I've been to 4 jobs just this winter where that had occurred.

@@asedcopf one commercial job (200 plus panels) had 5 separate earth faults because of these steel zip ties. It was a nightmare to find them.

@@jeremyk9000that doesnt sound like much fun! Steel ties in the wrong hands can be a massive problem years down the track.

@@jeremyk9000 Gotta love the industry ^^ - do you recall which areas were rubbing? eg a sloppy home run dangling down? Shouldn't be any movement at all if they are strapped down correctly. Not saying you are wrong btw, interesting to hear others experiences.
A big nono is using plastic coated steel - all they do is invite the inspector to have a closer look and find out you didn't put your pips in the isolator.
