@Kimmie Roségold ok so the issue with that is that cops don’t do it just because someone is pissed, they do it if someone continuously resists arrest or worse, pulls a weapon on a cop. Like, I’m sorry, but you can’t just say “calm down” to a maniac and expect it to work. If someone resists arrests, he’s committed a crime, what if he commits a murder on an actual person and I think it’s obvious as to why cops have to fight back when a criminal pulls a weapon on 1.

“Cops aren’t underfunded” based on your stat, in NYC, 5 billion dollars go to the department. Assuming all of that is paid, based on the stat that there are 55k people working in that department, the average cop gets paid 10$ an our as it’s a 24/7 job. Pretty underfunded for a job that hard don’t you think.
