Like everything, trailers have their pros and cons. You always display a solid thought process of why you do things in your videos, so you'll figure out if a trailer is right for you. I daily my Tacoma so I can't leave it as prepped as yours, which is why I love my trailer. The trailer is like a giant go bag--always ready to hit the trail. A family of four camping trip is a very tight squeeze in a truck. The quick set up/tear down of the kitchen is maybe my favorite part of the trailer. You've collaborated with X Overland; the Crofts would be a great resource for trailer advice. The flip side is that a trailer is a lot for just one person, and you already have the van and (in the future) the bus if you're planning a trip, so it might not be worth it for you. Either way, keep up the good videos!
Please please please do a baby/kiddo gear review!! I’m about to be a 1st time dad also a gear guy and prepper and want to see your car seat, stroller, diaper bag truck/car setup. Or baby camp gear or travel gear.
Outstanding content! Looking forward to seeing the Evolution of this Killer LX570 Project come to fruition… i’m being selfish, but would love to see you incorporate a rooftop tent setup… Many thanks & all the Best🙏🙏
I dig the grab handles on the side of the rack! I’ve often considered something similar. One option to get an extra step is one of the little door latch footsteps from Amazon. I keep mine in the rear door pocket and it works great. Also, by removing the third row seat, you have a constant 30 amp circuit on each side for other uses. 😃
The roof rack and pecan setup is great! As someone with 2 big dogs, I'm looking forward to how to utilize the cargo area with the 3rd row removed. Great video as always!
If you’re more involved in the process with the rack have them design the grab handles into the side of the rack to help keep the super clean look but keep the utility 🤷🏽♂️
Loving it! This is the direction I'd like to end up going with our next vehicle and when our new kiddo is ready to go adventuring with us. Lots of good ideas here.
Roof rack looks clean and futuristic.....except for those handles. Those handles look cool only on a S.W.A.T. Lenco Bearcat. That wrap makes the Lexus standout 100%
The rack is awesome! It would be cool if they had a removable ladder option, similar to the one you have connected to your pelican case. with a slot to insert the ladder stabilizer. I am holding out for a Zulu for my Ford F250 Crew Cab. I like it much better than the Bravo and Alpha.
I love your videos. Not many people actually explain things they just assume everyone knows. Yours are entertaining, fun and mostly Informative. Your a very blessed man and keep it up. I do have a question, I'm curious as to what you do for work. I'm trying to get back into the oilfield myself. Make better money and have time for adventure. God Bless
Have the Roam 80L on my Prinsu on top of my 200 but it’s a little tall and has considerable wind noise. I’m one of those guys that solo camps and brings a trailer. It’s a military trailer with my RTT mounted on it
I've been running my Big Country fully welded roof rack for 2 years, and I have a rear ladder from Echo Tech that allows me to utilize my roof rack to load up all of my cases. Since I have an FJ Cruiser, the interior space is very tight. Check out my videos highlighting how I outfitted my Cruiser for traveling.
Sick Build! Thanks for the info. Definitely gonna copy that Vault set up on my ‘08 4Runner. It’s perfect! ✌🏼 PS the Pelican links weren’t working for me.
The look is great! A lift would prob make it look silly. I’d rip off those granny running boards and do something more hidden. It’ll look higher. Wrap is badazz!
Great video as always Mike. This is a sick setup. I wasn’t keen on the wrap color, but the lighting at 3:55 and 19:40 hits the money. That is a sexy color!!!! On a side note, as you previously stated, I do agree that you might be shadow banned. I had no notification on this video and just went to to your page to see if anything was out and it showed a video published “4 hours ago” at the time seeing it. Do you think they are shadow banning bc of your friendship with Mike glover? I didn’t really notice this until that Utah trip. 🤷🏼♂️ who knows, just an observation. Keep rocking and I’ll keep watching. Thanks brother.
Hey quick question, do you also have a separate get-home bag for your dogs? I keep one for me in my 4runner but i also keep a duffle for the dog. wondering if you have a solution for having two or do you just keep things for the dog in the get home you carry with you?
I don’t have one for my dogs - they’re usually not with me though. A dog could pretty easily handle a 20 mile walk home though as long as they have some water.
How well do you think it would work if you mounted some of those ratchet strap things on the rack that you had in the back of your old tundra? just curious on your thoughts
Yeah those would work also! I find mounting lighter softgoods on the roof, I don’t need to cinch the stuff down quite as hard as I do when transporting lumber or other heavy things in the bed of a truck.
Are you planning on any more informative/gear/survival videos? Don’t get me wrong, I’m really stoked for your success and you’re one of the main reasons I bought a Tacoma (lol), but it seems like this channel has turned into more of a “look at my stuff” situation than something informative like it used to be.
The video you're commenting on is an informative gear video, featurijg some survival gear... but I kinda maybe get what you're saying. I'm actually working on a prepping 101 series, where I breakdown various preparedness topics. Hoping to launching several within the next month, so those may be more down your alley.
Are those mount brackets from Pelican or Uptop. I'd like to find a solution that isn't as expensive as roam, but is as durable as Pelican. Also, I don't want to drill or alter the case in any way in order to mount it.
My experience with Uptop is not great. The customer service is subpar. They shipped my zulu and the handles didn't have the mounting plates shipped with it. I emailed them and asked for them to send the plates. They said multiple people have complained about not getting the mounting plates but "...the fact is we do not ship the new V2 handles with the lace plates.". I then sent them their own install instructions, and the product page to show that they did have lace plates. To which they promptly sent the plates. Really frustrating when they don't know their own product. It's like a $1800 rack too. Really regret not just going with someone else edit: They also didn't send all the hardware but instead of dealing with them I just sourced some from a hardware store. Again, it's $1800.

Agree first time dad myself and finding gear for camping, clothing, quick deploying strollers etc etc it’s a lot lol reviews would be baddass
Diono car seats. Thank me later
This build is looking mighty fine. Loving the turnaround you’ve done with it. dadLife done right! 💪
The Vault setup w/ rooftop case mounts is looking great! 🔥
It's perfect!

Dang Mike, thank you so much for making this video.
Id love to see this turn into your family camp/ prepper set up, with a trailer.
The roof rack and pecan setup is great! As someone with 2 big dogs, I'm looking forward to how to utilize the cargo area with the 3rd row removed. Great video as always!
To hell with what everyone else likes. This thing looks amazing with no lift.👍🏻

Just purchased a 2019 200 series because of your videos. Keep up the build!
Try the Pakmule Sway-Back hitch cargo carrier (clears tailgate). It helps expand cargo capacity when I’ve used up all of the roof rack on my LC200
Loving it! This is the direction I'd like to end up going with our next vehicle and when our new kiddo is ready to go adventuring with us. Lots of good ideas here.

That wrap makes the Lexus standout 100%
Haha yeah I’m not the biggest fan of handle aesthetics in general - but they are definitely handy…
Didn't think that your lx could look any better, roof rack is sick. That's my next step for my lx
The rack really looks good up there for sure
Last Line Of Defense, I loved this video so much, I had to hit the like button!
I like that.
We also have a dog (5 month old Golden) named Maple, full name is Maple Bacon, good on you Mike!
Last Line Of Defense, You're amazing! Let's be friends and hang out!
Just received one of your holsters today. It is the most comfortable holster on the market!
Glad to hear it, and thanks for the support!
Clutch with showing those Pelican case mounts. Was just about to drill my Vault V730.

Awesome rig Mike! It really is a clean set up!
Such a wicked awesome build Mike! Amazing
Now I need one

Loving the LX video series brotha!
Great setup! Going almost identical on my 100 series 🤙
Looks so dope dude awesome set up
Sick ride, looks awesome!
duuude you gotta do a trailer, look into trailers, perfect for young families! your build would be sick!
Bumpers will definitely make you want to go full beast on it lol. 35’s would be great!

Digging the color...really bad ass 😎😎
I think it looks great
Looks slick
Looks awesome. Looking for bumpers for my 200. What made you decide on dissent?
Hey Mike do you have an interior tour? Just got a GX460 and need some inspiration
I love that truck
Hi Mike, quick question. I’m new to the overland/prepared daily driver space and I’m looking at tow straps for my F150. Recommendations?
Thanks!! 🤙🏾
I would like to a molle panels that add to the Zulu roof rack for the back windows.
Stowaway 2 instead of trailer for extra storage maybe...??? im thinking of adding that...
Hey quick question, do you also have a separate get-home bag for your dogs? I keep one for me in my 4runner but i also keep a duffle for the dog. wondering if you have a solution for having two or do you just keep things for the dog in the get home you carry with you?

Awesome video! I just got a 2024 RAV4 Woodland Edition. Looking for a roof rack and a 180 awning. Any suggestions? Thanks 🤙🏽
Teardrop trailer would be sick. Honestly the worst part about having an SUV is the lack of human/dog/camping/gear storage ability combo.
Nice!!! Bumpers and 37’s and its done!!! Lol
Your Pelican case mount link doesnt work :(
Love the build Mike!
When will the uptop rack be available?
How well do you think it would work if you mounted some of those ratchet strap things on the rack that you had in the back of your old tundra? just curious on your thoughts

Interested in what you come up with for your "drawer system."
I need one of those for my 100 series. When will they be available?
what rock lights are you using for the Amber/White scene lights?
Uptop sells these ones.

Lol, I should be more patient... 😂😂
Haha they're a pelican product. 🍻
🔥🔥 Black doors on the barn. Check out the trailer Lifestyle Overland got recently. Two kids including a toddler. It's pretty sweet.
Anyone know of those handle brackets would work with Apache (Harbor Freight) cases?
My experience with Uptop is not great. The customer service is subpar. They shipped my zulu and the handles didn't have the mounting plates shipped with it. I keep wondering why you aren’t using the Pelican Cargo cases that you made a previous video on but keep going back to other Pelican Vault cases?
I prefer more low profile cases
🔥🔥🔥
What size tires?
Are you using a padlock on the pelican?
If I went somewhere that I was worried about someone stealing anything, I’d put some on.
would you ever build out a 470?
Maybe, but a 570 has a more powerful engine, beefier components and is honestly better in almost every way. I do like how 470s look though.
@@LastLineOfDefense Thanks for reply! Was curious cause i'm sure your 470 build out would look rad!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Mike wants a widdle wadder?
Haha i honestly do…
Don’t send the lights off! TEQ sucks.
Oh dang, just sent them today. Why do they suck?
