Your experience shows through there Paul , fishing for congers at night on a rock mark on your own ! . At least you snared one but not quite the snake you were after, until next time, tight lines 👍
Eazy paul you ok pal, a nice pair of rods you have . Target achieved even thow you would of liked its dad. I was out yesterday and it was slow going on the humber. Just a 27cm dab. All thw best from GRIMSBY
Good video pal 👍 just use the same rigs for conger apart from using 8/0 cox and rawle meat hooks and a rotten bottom..had my best ones on herring for some reason or a big whiting..all the best from Heysham.. Lincoln 👍
Ehh Paul next time you in anglesey you should try inland sea by the rush for congers I lost a absolute monster there and the second set of stairs on the breakwater near the steps there was a 70lb caught there a couple of years ago that's also the deepest part of the breakwater good luck pal
As always paul, another great video and target achieved even if it’s not the monster we are looking for. Same as you for the rigs, 7/0 or 8/0 hooks with 150lb snoods is what done the damage for me the other week. I do prefer a mackerel bait for the congers but have had them on whole bluey before 👍🏻 great to see you back out again 🎣
Good video Paul with handy tips mate,,👍not been out myself this year mostly due to ill health ( knee replacement) anyway we have a caravan in Trearddur Bay now ,and hopin to get up there and around the Mersey & Hoyle Bank etc this winter,,hope to see you around cheers Gary,,👍🎣
I usually do big online orders and keep a good stock at home,in my chest freezer, but I'm just using tackle shops at the moment until I can get an order in
Hoped you enjoyed using the new TTSports, I have a pair and really like using them. I noticed that you seem to have a butt pad on in one shot, is that something you use regularly when conger fishing? Have you ever tried a whole cuttlefish for conger bait? survives crabs longer than fish baits.
I have Gareth, but cuttle fish hard to get hold of up here in the bait shops, and yes if I am on very snaggy ground, I find the but pad helps pull out the snags

@@StarfishSeaFishing I'm from that way, use to fish those rocks daily, and it's even worse when it's wet because of the lava rock, slippery as ice. It's a brilliant place to fish, iv even had thornbabck rays off the rocks opposite the breakwater, only 2 of us have ever caught rays there ever. Behind octel is the place for conger, as well as the slate inside the dock where monster eels also live. That looked like you were on llamcarw point, which is very rough ground and also riddled with pots, but also known for its wrasse fishing, and iv even had bass off the point. There's also a huge reef that exposes on the ebb that's like 20 yds out, which you can't see when it's dark. Ideally, those marks need to be fished during daylight so you can see what's in the swims. Otherwise your gonna be loosing gear all night. I'll get you on fb, were friends.

Good to see you back at Fishing Paul I like to use 6280J hooks with mackerel and cuttlefish. How do you like the new rods?
Rods were fine and held up well on the rough ground
Great to have Starfish fishing back, where are you getting your baits from these days? Cheers mate

Yep always best to go with someone who has fished there and knows the area correct gear knollage and a friend is best
