Unthinkable Act in the Bible (Amnon and Tamar )

This is a story of the lust-driven affair between Amnon and Tamar, one of David's daughters, a half-sister of Amnon. Amnon was "madly" in love with Tamar, but the fruit of the relationship shows it was not love but lust. He was infatuated with her, so much so that he deceitfully conspired with his cousin Jonadab to arrange matters. Sadly, the story was a fulfilment of a judgement that befell King David (the son of Jesse) after he took Bethsheba as his wife. But King David did not do much
The story is narrated in 2 Samuel 13 in the Christian Bible (Old Testament) and its told through African Voices . The story of Amnon, Tamar, and Absalom is a tragic one, highlighting the destructive consequences of sexual violence and the need for justice and accountability.
