I just realized while God blessed Solomon with so much, I don't recall him ever really taking after his father David in a key trait that was always seeking after the Lord. David for the most part always sought God's counsel and his mistakes where just that-- human mistakes. But Solomon was given abundant wisdom and his downfall was not being wise enough -- ironically -- in asking God His will in all things. David is known for being a man after God's own heart for a reason and Solomon actually seemed to miss the most important part of that heart posture: doing it with God. The biggest exception of this is of course the house he built for our Lord.
You're very right! He deduced in the end that fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Wisdom alone does not stand a chance if the will of God is not sought after. That's why Solomon in the end ended up worshiping all kinds of things
@@mikaelalove5055 this is so true. I seek his counsel and his presence daily! He never fails to send me something. Sometimes it’s peace of mind sometimes it’s a word to listen. Sometimes it’s a word of encouragement. A lot it’s love and an answer. If not I will wait. Not quietly though 🤣 he knows I will bug him until he answers but he always lets me know when it is time. If it is right and sometimes silence is indeed the answer lol.

That’s why I pray daily for us all because this world can send us in all directions looking for what he has already or not yet in his wisdom given. He is always faithful to bring his flock back to him. So remember no matter where or what road you find yourself on he will always bring you home if you call. Never stop calling for the shepherd! That was David’s great wisdom.

Most don’t know that the kingdoms were divided because of Solomon northern and southern…. Southern was Judah , Benjamin and parts of Levi …. The other tribes were scattered to the four corners of the world and the covenant was broken …… which led to Christ coming to bring all tribes back together and bringing a new covenant.

This is brilliant! I love the animations this is a great teaching tool. Solomon is one of the greatest people to have ever lived and his commitment to God is inspiring despite his later backsliding he found his way back. God’s commitment to Solomon reminds me that no matter what, If God makes promise or you ask in earnest he will ALWAYS be true to his word. We can all be thankful for this. When things get tough go back to Christ and tell him your heart. The day he found me was truly the best 3 days I’ve been blessed to have spent on Earth. I will just say Solomon lived in a time where there was no Christ and no salvation except through sacrifice. We as Christians are soo blessed we no longer have to live in fear of death or disappointment to God. We can trust in our eternal high priest who gave us many gifts individually but collectively the Holy Spirit. So no need to fear the wars to come whatever it may bring because in Christ’s care and sight we are safe. Lord thank you! I pray that all who come to know are blessed with your grace and mercy and all those who need, in you find peace, comfort and wisdom. Stay blessed peeps! REMEMBER- there is no condemnation in Christ just good works and faithfulness. Love y’all x❤
