How to Change the Oil on a Toyota Gen 3 Prius Lexus CT200h

- Hello everyone, and welcome to @AutoScholarwithMrB! Today we knock out an oil change on my Lexus CT200h, but the procedure is the exact same for a 2010-2015 Toyota Prius.
Toyota and Lexus recommends that the oil get changed at the one year/ 10,000 mile mark, but many people chose to do it earlier. I definitely would not surpass the 10,000 mile mark. I used Mobil One 0w-20 oil, and the Lexus and Toyota both take 4.4 quarts.

I've never seen anybody torque the drain plug although that is the proper thing to do. Don't forget to pull those leaves out of the cowl, in time they will block the drain. tube.
I torque everything. Not a pro or in a rush and don’t want any problems.
Great videos. I just bought a 2014 CT200h F Sport with 68k miles , now 92k... Very happy with the 48-59mpg I get in traffic. What are your thoughts on Mobil 1 for engines over 75,000 miles, that's what I use...
Do you ever put the CT in Maintenance Mode (that weird procedure) after an oil change? Have seen that on a video or two but not all. Like the CT content!

Is the oil filter 27ft lbs to tighten as well?

That old oil looked really dirty, I have an Auris which is very similar.
It was, and it was only supposed to be about 600 miles on it. I went ahead and changed it just to be sure. Thanks for watching!
I always do mobile 1 and Toyota filter every 5k
Can’t go wrong with Mobil 1, and 5,000 is probably what I’m going to do. Oil is cheap compared to engines. Thanks for watching!
