    I own a onefinity journeyman cnc machine. I was able to run the speed at 75 and the plunge rate at 45 and made 4 depths of pass at 0.19'' and a starting depth of 0.76 to ensure I cut all the way through the 3/4'' or .75'' stock. It took around 5 minutes to carve the pair.Thanks PawPaw for the great video and files

    Great job Paw Paw as usual, but what about some of us? We all don't have a CNC? Don't forget about the little guts!

      Just remember, you can make this without a CNC or a band saw or a jig saw or even a scrollsaw.

      Thank you very much. I really appreciate your comments. This gives people a choice, they can skip through the video or as you said hang out with me in the shop to get the full presentation.

    Great video. If you don’t mind the suggestion, I think you should turn on the TV and put up a logo or an Instagram handle or something. As it is, your square softbox lights are visible in the shot. Keep up the good work!

    I like the video. But I have a question about the Starbond glues. They have so many so I’m confused on what to use 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, there are many different ones to chose from. To break it down the thin ca glue is used when you need the glue to flow into different areas. Ceramic would be a good example. I use it sometimes on the glue and tape hold down but I like the medium ca glue better. It is just a little thicker. Of course the thick glue will not run and can be very useful for hard to get to and applications where there may be a small gap. Then you have the dark glue and they are perfect for filling knot holes in wood. The medium and thick glue works great as a wood filler and gap filler. There is also ca glue that can be used on foam.

    Hello paw paw! First of all. I love what you do on here and your tutorials are very helpful. I notice on your videos that you have some adjustable slides on your table to hold your material in place. Do you have a tutorial on how to make these?

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/YB4C5mqhYbU/v-deo.html There is also a link to the project on the Inventables project page for free to carve the bump stops.

    Can you provide more information on the glue and tape method you are using? That looks like painters tape? I'm just starting with carving and have been using 2 sided picture hanging tape but it is a lot harder to remove than your video looked like. Any information would be appreciated. I'm also impressed with the corner blocks!

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  4 роки тому

      Yes, it is blue painters tape with the Starbond CA Medium thick glue. I have a link in the description for a 15% discount on the Starbond. I have many many videos where I use this method. I'm not sure what else that I can say, so please ask any questions that you have. Congratulations on getting started in CNC carving.

    after screwing around with my hobby cnc for about a year, I am finally fully committed to the glue and tape method. I really wish I had started it sooner. no more dealing with trying to cut my plywood pieces using tabs. So many hours wasted. wasted!!!

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  3 місяці тому +1

      Awesome! For me, it’s one of the best methods to hold the material in place.

    Great work as always. Just curious why you used your x-carve when you could have used your new carve? Was it because you weren’t using Easel to generate a Gcode?

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  4 роки тому

      As I said in the video, I designed this right angle jig in Easel therefore, I wanted to use the XCarve. I will be using the New Carve in upcoming videos. Thank you very much.

    This is great! Brings up a question though. I'm using Vectric's V Carve Pro. I'd like to export the design as a .SVG file and design my Toolpaths in V Carve and generate my G code there. I can't see that option in the menus on Easel. I'm not too savvy in this arena.

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  4 роки тому

      Just design it in Vectric's VCarve Pro. Save a step.

    Over 22 minutes to present this exercise? Come on... 5 minutes at most. Please stop telling a story and focus on what the project is and how to achieve it!

      In all fairness, the explanations and step by step showing design decisions in easel is super helpful. And that process and those techniques apply to a range of applications, not just the current project. If those details were rushed, I wouldn't learn anything. Meant no disrespect sir.

      You could also just skip ahead. Feedback is important but let's keep it constructive. Something like... hey, nice video! Would be nice to have some shorter videos in the future that really focus on the project

      I appreciate your opinion, however, this video is designed to teach and show the possibilities that could be used on many other projects. Just skip to what is important to you. Thank you
