Hello, Many thanks for your very interesting videos very inspiring… 👍 Do you plan to set a video on how to do curve inlays as we can see you did on the video to promote the vortex with the baseball bat I noticed that you have inlayed « LongMill » on the baseball bat with walnuts… I think it would be very interesting for all of us to see how you did it… Many thanks in advance for your answer
Many thanks. I'm a senior citizen (old fart) who's trying to live by Waylon's advice, "Don't Let The Old Guy In." I'd appreciate learning how to cut a crib board path to fit inside the face of a tennis racket. I've made a few to donate to various causes but the drill press is laborious. How would I do this? Thanks!!!
Everyone is welcome here! To clarify, you want to take an actual tennis racquet and create the lanes on the face of it? If that's what you're talking about, you'd need to: -Measure the existing racquet. -Create lines that would follow and fit within the actual racquet face dimensions. -Then select the lines you created and use a drilling toolpath. And yes, drilling them manually would be a total pain, especially compared to letting the CNC do the work. Hopefully that makes sense. Let us know how it turns out!
@@SienciLabs I have a number of old wooden tennis rackets so have created a cardboard cutout of the face, traced it onto a piece of wood, cut the oval on the band saw and then using a template I created I marked the holes then drilled with a press. Perfectly imperfect.
That would work for sure! That’s the amazing part of this hobby; there’s SO many different ways to achieve the result you’re after. As long as you get what you’re looking for, there are no wrong answers!
@@SienciLabs Thanks for the ultra quick response. My method does work and often it's the journey as much as the destination; I think about the recipient as I labor through the steps. Conversely, the hole drilling is laborious and my time might be better spent on other things. Because these rackets are similar, if not identical, a pattern would be a gold mine. Waylon would probably tell me how to learn how to create the design. Any help here?
I want to through it out there. A new tutorial for leveling your spoiler board. New to the machine and CnCing, and that’s where I am at. I’ve watched both links you folks have in your website, and other users of the long mill and still no success on my end. Considering selling this unused machine.
Very cool, love that the project was based on Alberta terrain as an Albertan.
We’re glad you liked it! It was pretty fun to commemorate the memories this way 👌

@camkeni No problem! Not 100% what you’re asking? Are you looking for a step by step tutorial? And who’s this Waylon fellow? 😀
