Never transformed any Wing kits into a bird mode. The only kit I EVER transformed is the Zeta...only because I kinda like the Wave Rider mode, but ended up display it in the MS mode anyway.
+Jango The Blue Fox you can actually make it symmetrical with only the Fenice. it comes with almost all of the original wings parts (with the exception of most of the shield) and you can make it symmetrical
I see the strangest gap on the back of the kneck collar (between the collar and the back-plate) and it is throwing me for a loop. I did paint the frame, but no matter what I do I can't get that gap to go away. Is this a bizarre design flaw or me messing something up?
ZakuAurelius good job on the review! Secondly, I'm confused as to why you cannot get the MG to stand as Dalong managed to get his MG to stand when he was taking his photos. Are the joints on your MG weak/loose?
It would have been nice in the comparison with the HG if you included their rifles, as I'm fairly sure they are slightly different. I think that the bayonet handle is stuck in the open position on the HG and just doesn't look as good.
i never liked this gundam first time seeing it but this review definitely convinced me to buy it for my 2nd mg and probably my last. do u think it will look good together with freedom 2.0? and thanks!
Yeah, it's a cool kit. The Freedom 2.0 definitely has a different aesthetic, so they won't go perfectly together. But if you painted them matching color schemes they could look good as a team.
Kinda late reply I guess, but the center part of the action base has always snapped into place for me. I did it wrong in the beginning and had issues with it falling out.. noticed it was not pressed all the way in.
I went to Barnes and Noble about a month ago, and saw this in the display. Unfortunately, whoever built the kit superglued the entire thing and it had blobs of dried glue all over it

Not a fan of the Build Fighters era stuff, but this is tempting...the HG version, anyway. Weak knees and an inability to stand on its own make this MG an automatic fail. (BUT, can you cheat a bit like with the MG Wing Gundam VerKa and Wing ZEROCustom, using the wingtips as additional support?) The design looks like someone took the Wing Gundam VerKa (because of how the wings are), the original Wing Gundam (head & torso), Gundam Rose from G Gundam (the fancy motif), and Deathscythe-Hell Custom (the rather spiky look), and just fused all the design ideas together.
do you know/are you part of the gunpla community in korea? is there much of a community? i've seen quite a few social media gunpla-ers, but haven't been able to get a good read on it in korea
I would love to see an upgrade version of this model that has wings made from the same material as the beam cloak... beam wings i guess... that and eyes and chest also, all under a UV or Blaclight would glow and look better than Unicorn.

Please, allow me to rephrase: I mean with a Kit like this, a consumer would like to see the full picture of what they are buying or what they are intrested in buying. It is easy to assume people will find the information elsewhere, to do due dilligence. Thats not the case, you are one of 3 reviewers that I (and people like me) rely on for some honest opinions. You tackle the review with an enthusiasm and restraint with allowes you to get a clear message across, that nuanced momentum can really keep a person interested in the product. In this case, your enthusiasm fell short right when it came to ita signature gimmick. Even though you make your case clear, and it is justified, the problem is that the kit wasnt seen in all of its glory. We didn't even get that vicarious thrill of seeing it transform, or feel that discovery of whether or not it was worth it. If you were the only reviewer in the world on this kit, I would not have all the information about it. I wouldnt buy it .
My one problem with this kit so far. Is on the green parts, hard to avoid nub discoloration. I suppose it's technically a stress mark, already sanded from 400 grit to over 10,000 grit micro mesh. Other than that, it's pretty kool kit😎
Especially considering that red white and green are never used to represent Italy in any sport. It's all red in motor competitions and all sky blue in all other sports.

+Keith VonBernewitz have you even watched Build Fighters? it's basically a huge love letter to the whole Mobile Suit Gundam franchise. also one thing you might not know is that the Build Fighters universe is actually the afterlife that all of the dead characters from the other Mobile Suit Gundam series go.
