PVE/SP thatch = scaffolding equipment ... SP mode is great for players that enjoy building. You can put bases in key locations or specialty buildings/pens that require water or whatever... pretty much anywhere without pissing off other players or getting raided. You just have to manage your resources and spawns. I like towers since easy access for your flyers and spawns are interrupted by number of foundation/pillars and the multiplier. Building up instead of out, means fewer spawn interruptions. I keep most of my dinos and my greenhouse on a plateau in the south where it's safer for them and doesn't interrupt other dino spawns. But that's just me. SP Mode has a bad spawn glitch caused by the hibernation system. I find my system allows me to go longer between dino wipes and slow down the Ark despawn effect.
How do you manage your bases? And how many bases should you have (on the Island)? I have about 6 bases now, 2 are deserted. My question is water. How do you solve the problem of needing water, do you run pipes to your base? Do you place your base near water always? Just curious on how you typically deal with this
Typically I stay relatively close to water, close enough to where I can get there in a minute or 2. You can use irrigation pipelines and a tap to bring water to your base. I talk about irrigation pretty thoroughly in my farming guide if you want more info. There's a trick there that might help you

The size of that greenhouse... Hot damn.. Crystal is so scarce in Ragnarok that after I built my grinder and other electronics I just thought fk it, it's gonna be open air garden. On the hand, that greenhouse is in extinction, where you trip over crystals all the time :D
True that, crystal is harder to get in the not desert places. This is why I made my base on the Desert Island with the oil nodes, right in the crescent moon bay. There is crystal right up that ledge and all around the Drake caves and further away on the desert coast. But generally they got more Crystal spawns in the desert areas that they made later on.
@@ShinForgotPassxXx There is a nice ledge with flat area in coords 61/51 where I built my base, overlooking the desert. Tons of resource all around me, and only dinos that come really close is pteranodons, so the place is pretty safe too. First time I cleared them I got something like 1,5k crystals, but it took many days for them to respawn, which is super long considering I have time to play 4-5 hours a day.

Dominate official PVP for 4+ years having never been raided once by having an underwater tech base that is super hidden. Use teleporter to get out of the tech base to transport you disposable resources bases.
Stone is best for pve bc of how cheap it is and how few dinos can damage. But if your paranoid go metal. Only Dino I know is arthro and titanosaur that damage it
Oh by the way I think you should recommend using cooking pots to make charcoal.. they have much bigger inventory and I think they burn at the same speed as a camp fire
When i play official pvp my base consists of a metal 2x1 with 2 floors and good environmental/tree coverage. I’d make another 2x1 for a fabricator close but not too close to the main base. I’ve found that if i can barely find my base then other survivors should have even more trouble finding it, i rely on coverage and prayers instead of turrets for defense
Me and my friend have a PvE world, lately a drop started to spawn within our base and we can no longer build within our base because of it and can’t disable it as we are on PS4, is there anything we can do?? We are on day 170 and really don’t wanna start again. Love your channel btw so glad I found it even though I’m long past the early game your videos are just so addictive.
Oh snap, thats a pretty sticky situation. Does it let you collect the loot from the drop? If it does id just collect it and build when it's gone. That's awfully peculiar though and i cant say ive ever experienced that...
pterafier nah there’s a specific radius around the drop where we can’t build whether the drop is there or not. To make matters worse it’s only started dropping there recently, can drops change location?? Either way looks like our base is screwed.
Meanwhile, I'm midgame and my second base is still just a stone foundation with no walls and a bunch of boxes. I'm too busy collecting pretty argies to be bothered with walls. Or a roof. Or really anything I need
try different spawn locations. the more of my videos you watch the more you'll understand how I avoid stuff like that :) I recommend trying out high move speed tho

Super happy it's helping! Thanks for watching :)
Godsend for a fairly knowledged player I.E. me but I really learned the most from the Procroptodon tip for imprinting as i've got all three artifacts for the broodmother and need to tame and breed some megatheriums.
What I usually do (on PVE cuz that’s what I play) is I just make a platform with thatch and once I unlock wood, I replace all the thatch with wood
Yes i
Wow, last video you've had 2k, now 5k! Crazy how fast its going.
Duuuuude it's kinda nuts lol thanks for the support
Dominate official PVP for 4+ years having never been raided once by having an underwater tech base that is super hidden. Use teleporter to get out of the tech base to transport you disposable resources bases.
Stone is best for pve bc of how cheap it is and how few dinos can damage. But if your paranoid go metal. Only Dino I know is arthro and titanosaur that damage it
Oh by the way I think you should recommend using cooking pots to make charcoal.. they have much bigger inventory and I think they burn at the same speed as a camp fire
Ooooo never thought about that. Smart!
Once again. Great info.
Another awesome video
Glad you enjoyed!
Subscribed 👍🏻 your vids are great!
Welcome! Glad you enjoyed :)
You need way more subs man
You think so? Thanks! That's pretty cool of you to say lol
Love this series
I'm happy to hear that! Thanks for watching
Sssss
i make a wood base at the start because i might not have enough time to get to stone tier in one day and also you can get narcotics faster
I can't imagine PvP will ever be for me, so I guess it's cozy thatched cottages all the way for me.
Outro gave me Goosebumps theme music vibes 🤙🏼
Oh in case you dont know you can make charcoal by putting wood in an industrial forge it will smelt one per second.
I wish I had these tips, when I first started on ark but we learn the hard ways
Faaaaaaacts lmao
Best time ever when you accidentally ate narcoberries and didn't know what was happening.
Meanwhile, I'm midgame and my second base is still just a stone foundation with no walls and a bunch of boxes. I'm too busy collecting pretty argies to be bothered with walls. Or a roof. Or really anything I need
Love you channel helps a lot
Happy to help! Thanks for watching :)
Keep the good work up you more helpfull then most of the bigger ark streamers
Yep definitely he is mainly for information but he is also entertaining no offense lol.
Why do really strong carnivore Dinos just spawn next to me and attack me at low levels?
try different spawn locations. the more of my videos you watch the more you'll understand how I avoid stuff like that :) I recommend trying out high move speed tho
Tek is also damaged by a magmasaur projectile.
Just started playing ark with my friends and we keep dying so I searched up tips and found u you’ve helped a lot thanks
Nice video thanks for the help
Anyone can tell me if it was a good idea to set up a metal base on some ice bridge thingy in the snow biome?
I hate how you are so underrated
The growth will come.
