"and I would be so tired that all I would do is consume... and then I would repeat that process every freaking day." --- "maintaining the expectations of other people instead of following up on what I wanted to do... and living."
That spoke to me quite a bit, Stephen. Great talk!

Super inspiring as always! Letting yourself fail over and over can be so tough, but it's really amazing what can come out of it!

It’s a great idea to embrace failure! It has been a road block with me thinking that I was that failure. I know now to embrace my failure & keep trying! Thanks for the inspiration, man!

Hello. Great Ted Talk. I will definitely have my procrastinating 👴🏻hubby watch this. He has had deadlines for life events several times in the past four years and missed them over and over again even though very important and I am unable to give him positive reinforcement to empower him. Maybe looking at it through your eyes, experience and training will help.
He wants to do these things but gets stuck in the “how”.
    Thanks.

but you didn't teach how to be curious. you just went through a list of how to get something done, which requires intrinsic motivation. You should have told us to focus on the aspect of what about these skills make you want to learn it and this is what creates the unlimited drive.

Exactly. He is a great guy no doubt, but the title doesn't match the content. Rather more like a talk on "hey guys this is how I patched together a ted a talk"

I'm sure these ideas work. to a point but it seems entirely Externally motivated, which falls apart when any of those externals are taken away.
