I can do this with Vocaloid songs sometimes. Like for example I'm genuinely not sure Kings and Queens by Ava Max WASN'T meant to sound like Servant of Evil.
For those interested, there are also examples of ZUN's tracks aligning with older ones as well. Septette is the one I hear about a lot, but a less well known example is that the refrain for History of the Moon sounds almost 1:1 as the refrain for "Skänklåt från Rättvik", a Swedish folk song that's at least about ~150 years old from what I've seen.

Or, it might be the reverse - what a song example was inspired by was actually a rearrangement of a Touhou song, such as something by IOSYS. I heavily doubt that someone would just randomly decide to reference Complete Darkness.
